That was cool. Weird, but cool.

I heard "Sad Angel" on 97.5 FM ("Akron's Home of Rock & Roll") on Sunday. They play mostly classic rock but make an effort to play new stuff from classic groups (and The Black Keys, because it is Akron after all).

So great to hear it on the radio...though I think I scared the bejeezus out of my daughter with my exclamations.

Landslide has just been performed on "The Voice" on BBC One. It was a duet/battle or something, I was just flicking through and caught the end of it.

I heard "Never Forget" Saturday night while having drinks with friends in the courtyard at the Hotel San Jose here in Austin. I nearly fell out of my chair with surprise. The hotel has DJs on weekends, and they always play a really cool eclectic mix of music. Never expected to hear that particular Mac song, tho! :D

This has to be the winning entry for the entire thread!

Though it's not FM, I heard the B side to the Edge of Seventeen 45 single on the radio and nearly fell out of my car. Anyone want to guess what song this was?

Isn't the B side the live version of Edge? I've never heard it on the radio so it certainly falls under the "Unexpected" category.

I must have radar. It seems like every time that I turn on the radio .Stevie or FM is playing on the station when I turn it on.Its spooky at times.

I can see it in my mind as I reach for the power button that transmits a signal to the radio stations studio to a light that flashes "Skip is tuning in so put on Stevie/FM tunes".

last Sunday I heard EO17 soon as I turned on my radio.

While I was driving home from work today, the radio was playing The Devil Went Down to Georgia of all things. I started thinking about how Stevie would sound singing harmony on it. Then I started thinking about Stevie singing Landslide for no reason in particular. When Devil ended, the 1975 version of Landslide came on next.

You win the prize! It got quite a bit of radio airplay in 1982 in Connecticut.

I was in Arundel Castle the other week. Which is a bit ol' local castle-come-stately-home with bits dating back to the middle ages:

http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae243/buster1_05/800px-Arundel_Castle_on_a_Sunny_Oct.jpg

Pretty, right?

So. In the cafe on the first floor they were, strangely enough, playing Paper Doll. Which totally did not match the setting at all, in my mind, to the point that I didn't even really register what the song was until my husband pointed it out to me excitedly towards the end of its run. And uh, yeah. There was a bit of grooving to be had after that. Life was good.

I don't even especially like Paper Doll, but any obscure SN song played in the middle of a historic English site is going to bring me some joy. Yes, even you, Jane. ;)

Lay off Silver Girl, you guys! She's had a few hard times (sometimes it blows her mind!) Have some sensitivity!

In all seriousness, though, I adore RTTG. If I heard that song just about anywhere I'd be thoroughly pleased, and people would probably stare at me in confusion/wonder due to my inability to stop smiling. What is with people and that song? It's amazing!

It's definitely an album highlight for me. Whenever I make post-The-Dance Stevie playlists, RTTG finds its way into the mix. People often seem to complain that Stevie's vocals were monotonous on that album, but I think RTTG (and EBFO) is one of the most emotionally moving vocals of her career.

I stumbled across The Dance album in my local Tesco for £3. I haven't been more willing to scramble through my change to buy it. I think it's about time they re-released this album with the missing tracks that were included on the DVD (Gold Dust Woman, Gypsy, Go Insane, Songbird, Over My Head). I loved the album, but I missed those songs.

I understand exactly what you mean! That sort of thing used to happen to me a lot. In fact, sometimes I'd just get some thought out of nowhere that said 'FM is playing now!' and I'd turn on the radio and there they would be!

One of the weirdest things I had happen was in the early '90s. MTV used to do something called 'What If Wednesdays'. I was at a neighbor's house and she had MTV on. I had barely sat down at her house and she left the room for some reason. The MTV VJ was then saying 'What if it was 1984...' and suddenly I just knew without any doubt that they were about to play the vid for 'Go Insane'!!

At that point, I hadn't seen the video since 1984. I think I screamed and totally freaked my neighbor out!

Hahaha.Yes .I was in Lowe's tonight looking for new tires for my lawn tractor. As I walked in they had FM's SYW blasting trough out the store.

FM brought me luck tonight .I did find the tires for my tractor which includes the rims and which were half price then the ones I found online and at local lawnmower repair shops .

I don't miss them at all. Even if all they did was play videos 24 hours a day, I still would not be watching. I never watch TV anymore unless I'm at someone else's house where it is on or some tragic world event occurs or some dangerous weather happens in my area. My 37 inch TV substitutes as my computer monitor. FM look amazing in HD.

I was watching The Simpsons, Fox OnDemand, and they showed a preview/behind the scenes segment of Andy Samberg's new show Brooklyn Nine Nine. All the cast were talking about how intimidated they were to have Andre Braugher on the show, he plays the Captain. Andy said he knew Andre was ok when he passed his trailer and heard Andre "blasting the Mac". They showed Andre and he said "Yeah, it was an intense shooting day and I was playing Rumours, I needed my Stevie Nicks fix". Liked him already, but he definitely moved up in my book after this.

I was waiting in line at the South Philly Acme and I heard a voice streaming through the sound system that sounded very familiar but I couldn't pinpoint it. Shame on me! As I strained to listen I realized it was Silver Girl. Totally not expecting to hear that song in a supermarket. It wasn't even released as a "single" to my knowledge. Still it made my food shopping experience worthwhile. I was singing it as I left the store. I do love that song. I think the melody is one of the prettiest Stevie has written and Lindsey's production, I think, is top notch. I think it captures some of the Fleetwood Mac mystery that is not present on so many of the SYW songs. The only thing that would complete the song would be Christine's vocals on the chorus. I don't remember if Lindsey sings on the chorus but the three of them would be spectacular.

A few days ago I did a little run with -of course- FM on my iPod. While I was having breakfast a little later I heard Stevie Nicks' Rooms on Fire on the radio, which surprised me because I don't hear her songs a lot on the radio. An hour later I biked -yes, I live in the Netherlands- to a coffee bar to meet a friend. While I sat down I heard a song from Rumours playing, can't remember which one, I think it was either NGBA or GYOW. I thought it was a nice coincidence, hearing these two songs on the radio. It made my day :)

I used to work at a restaurant and every now and then a FM song would trickle down on to the radio speakers. Think About Me, Sisters Of the Moon, GYOW, Dreams, and Little Lies were usually the culprits. Although SOTM was a rare occurrence. Also Dust My Broom would play too, though not the FM version. I worked at a popular Chicago themed chain restaurant (that specialized in Deep Dish pizza). 10 points to whoever guesses it

My 4 year old daughter loves singing along to the ooo's in Edge of Seventeen. She concentrates really hard to make sure she gets them in the right place. The first time I heard her doing it my heart leapt with joy :]

I haven't been listening to the radio much in the last couple of months, but I did turn it on for 10mins last week and almost immediately a snippet of "Rooms on Fire" came on. I shouted out in shock  as I'd just been engrossed in a Stevie thread on the Ledge. It's very very rare for this station to play any Stevie, although they do play quite a bit of Fleetwood Mac. It was probably off that Gawdawful tribute album. Honestly there were 2good songs on there: Haim's version of Hold Me, and Lee Ranaldo and J Mascis's Albatross effort. Had higher expectations for MGMT especially since they covered "Future Games" but was severely disappointed.

I was driving with my kids (teens) and on the classic rock station that we were listening to (I had to exercise my right as the driver to get it on that station), Dreams played. Yippee. When it was over, they changed the channel and Go Your Own Way was playing. Double Yippee. They were stunned.

Also, when i was a teenager, we always spent our whole summers at the lake. During the summer of 1977, whenever Go Your Own Way would come on the radio, the speakers which were aimed out the cottage window would get turned up full blast, and all the water skiiers would dance on the rock, in the boat or on the dock--all in the hot summer sun!! Blissful.

At 3.30 am last night, still wide awake & flicking through TV stations i think it was Landline on the ABC. the program was about a small timber cutting business in Tasmania Australia, the old guy explained his process of making Drum kits, starting with old hollow hardwood trees it was all pretty interesting. At the end of the program they showed the finished product, a beautifully crafted drum kit without mentioning their name but showed a full screen live shot of Fleetwood Mac.... So there ya go, we now know where Mick gets his drums from..

[This service walk: As Liz Lemon would say, "I want to go to there!" I mean, not only was My Little Demon playing, but how in the world did anyone recognize it as a Fleetwood Mac song?]

[This is from an article talking about visiting a newly dedicated Military Service Walk]

Ledger Enquirer 5/30/2014

http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/2014/05/30/3129335/dimon-kendrick-holmes-letters.html?sp=/99/164/

At the splash pad, two little girls dance in the spray. Fleetwood Mac from the speakers in the ground plays "My Little Demon."

"I really don't like it… ain't nothing I can do. I really don't like it… I'm leaving it to you."

I think the memorial is perfect. It's not a towering hunk of marble that dominates the RiverWalk. It's words on simple markers.

Those words stick in your mind, a gentle reminder of why we are free.

sorry.

Fox is a whole lot more moderate than MSNBC and CNN. I watch a bit of all 3 so I can hear a bit of all "sides" of the story, but MSNBC gets on my nerves. Can never really watch it for more than 5 minutes at a time.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this but the live version of Big Love from The Dance was played in the background of the Top Gear Patagonia special part 2 on BBC2 last Sunday.

For those who don't know, Top Gear is watched by approximately 250 million people worldwide and this episode was watched by nearly 5 million people last Sunday in the UK alone.

What great exposure for Fleetwood Mac and an odd track to play, especially the 1997 live version. Fantastic nevertheless!

My friends' husband was in Toronto, found a retro record store with piles of old vinyl records. He bought me a vinyl record of Fleetwood Mac made from a recording of a session they played on April 27, 1968. It says on the insert: "Fleetwood Mac in London. This early archive of Peter Green's Fleewood Mac, before Danny Kirwan, is one of the earliest existing live recordings of the band, recorded on April 27, 1968 at a concert given at the Polytechnic of Central London, just a few months after the release of their debut album. Here the band's heavy blues influence dominates their sound as they play through a set of mainly blues covers, many of which do not appear on any other recording."
How cool is that? What a nice guy.........

Sitting in the W restaurant in midtown - NYC. Working. Playing music although not loud. You know you just hear something that makes you stop working and concentrate because it sounds so familiar. But not loud so you have to pay attention. It was the classic Gypsy. And I thought. Damn - this is a great sound that has really held up (for an 80s song). It is gorgeous. Just love it.

So I was happy.

Then two or three songs later, the same thing happened. It was Station Man. Holy cow. What a rare treat. It reminded me of the early concerns where Stevie and Lindsey sang it. What a great song.

This morning is starting off pretty darn good!

I saw them perform the song in 1982. Instead of the Hold Meeeeee on the record, they sang Hold me yeah! It's so odd that they perform all of their hits, but not this one! I think it would have a great performance circa 1987-1990 as a duet with Billy Burnette.

This just popped up on twitter and it's the "Django" from "Buckingham/Nicks"

Jean Baptiste 'Django' Reinhardt (January 23, 1910 - May 16, 1953) was a Belgian Gypsy jazz musician. His most renowned tunes include Minor Swing, Tears, Nagasaki and Nuages.

Born in Liberchies, Belgium, Reinhardt spent most of his youth in gypsy encampments close to Paris, France, playing banjo, guitar and violin from an early age professionally at dance halls in Paris. He started first with a banjo-guitar that had been given to him, and his first recordings (in 1928) were with him playing the banjo (a banjo guitar has six strings and is tuned like a guitar).

At the age of 18, Reinhardt was injured in a fire that ravaged the caravan he shared with his first wife. The third and fourth digits on his left hand were burned so badly they were fused together, and although the doctors succeeded in separating the fingers, they were of diminished use to him in his future guitar playing (Acker Bilk was another musician whose dexterity seemed unimpaired by finger-damage). Determined to keep playing, Reinhardt focused on the guitar and developed an original style of playing that emphasized his undamaged fingers.

In 1934, he formed the 'Quintette du Hot Club de France' with violinist Stephane Grappelli, Reinhardt's brother Joseph and Roger Chaput on guitar, and Louis Vola on bass. He produced numerous recordings at this time, and played with many American musicians, like Coleman Hawkins, Benny Carter and Rex Stewart.

As World War II was declared, the quintet was on tour in the United Kingdom. Reinhardt returned to Paris at once, leaving his wife behind. Grappelli remained in the United Kingdom for the duration of the war, and Reinhardt reformed the quintet in Paris with Hubert Rostaing on clarinet in place of Grappelli's violin.

Reinhardt survived World War II unscathed, unlike many other gypsies who perished in the concentration death camps of the Nazis. He had the help of a Luftwaffe official named Dietrich Schultz-Kohn, a.k.a. Doktor Jazz, who admired deeply his music. In 1943 married Sophie Ziegler, with whom he had a son, Babik Reinhardt, who went on to become a respected guitarist in his own right.

After the war, Reinhardt rejoined Grappelli in the UK, and went on to tour the United States, opening for Duke Ellington, and playing at Carnegie Hall, as well as making more recordings.

In 1951, he retired to Samois sur Seine in France, near Fontainebleau, and lived there for two years until, on the morning of May 16th, he woke up complaining of being unable to move. Although he claimed to feel better, he collapsed outside of his house from a brain hemorrhage. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital in Fontainebleau.

Tributes

Just before Christmas 1954, the Modern Jazz Quartet recorded pianist John Lewis' tribute, simply titled 'Django'. This elegant lament became an oft-recorded jazz classic.

In 1971, Stephane Grappelli teamed up with Belgian guitarist Phillip Catherine and Danish bass player Niels Henning Oersted-Pedersen to record a tribute titled 'Young Django', a reference to the nickname given to the virtuoso Catherine.

Trivia

Reinhardt is the idol of the fictional 30's guitarist, Emmet Ray, in the Woody Allen film, Sweet and Lowdown (1999).

The song Johnny Depp plays in the river party scene in Lasse Hallström's movie 'Chocolat' was Django and Grapelli's great hit, 'Minor Swing'.

He is portrayed in the opening sequence of the 2003 cartoon Les Triplettes de Belleville, playing a mean guitar with his three fingers and puffing cigarette smoke out of his ears.

Reinhardt in popular culture

Reinhardt has been portrayed in several films, such as in the opening sequence of the 2003 animated film Les Triplettes de Belleville. The third and fourth fingers of the cartoon Reinhardt are considerably smaller than the fingers used to play the guitar. Reinhardt's legacy dominates in Woody Allen's 1999 Sweet and Lowdown. This spoof biopic focuses on fictional American guitarist Emmet Ray's obsession with Reinhardt, with soundtrack featuring Howard Alden. He is also portrayed by guitarist John Jorgenson in the movie Head in the Clouds.

Reinhardt is the idol of the character Arvid in the movie Swing Kids, where the character's left hand is smashed by a member of the Hitler Jugend, but is inspired by Reinhardt's example to keep playing. Similarly, in real life, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi suffered an industrial accident at 17, where the tips of his right middle and ring fingers were amputated on the last day of his job at a sheet metal factory. His boss, in an effort to encourage Iommi to follow his dream of being a professional guitarist, played a Django Reinhardt record for him for inspiration.

Reinhardt's music has been used in the soundtrack of many films, including in The Matrix; Rhythm Futur, Daltry Calhoun, Metroland, Chocolat, The Aviator, Alex and the Gypsy, Kate and Leopold and Gattaca; the score for Louis Malle's 1974 movie, Lacombe Lucien; the background for the Steve Martin movie L.A. Story; and the background for a number of Woody Allen movies, including Stardust Memories. He also appeared as a character in Allen's Sweet and Lowdown. Reinhardt's music has also been featured in the soundtracks of several video games, such as the 2002 game Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, Mafia II and several times in the 2007 game BioShock.

Reinhardt has been the subject of several songs, most notably "Django" (1954), a gypsy-flavoured piece that jazz pianist John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet wrote in honour of Reinhardt;

numerous versions of the song have been recorded, including one on the 1973 Lindsey Buckingham/Stevie Nicks self-titled debut album

; it also appears on Joe Bonamassa's 2006 LP You & Me. The lyrics of the Norwegian song "Tanta til Beate" by Lillebjørn Nilsen mentions Reinhardt several times.

He is mentioned in Jump Little Children's song "Mexico": "I won't let you leave, not with all my Django, Emmylou and Steve".

In the novel Century Rain by Alastair Reynolds, the characters Wendell Floyd and André Custine mention having played music with Reinhardt.

In 2010 the French and Belgian Google homepages displayed a logo commemorating the centenary of his birthday on 23 January 2010.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Actors Alexander Siddig and Nana Visitor named their son after Reinhardt.

Reinhardt is loosely suggested as the main character in the music video for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Brian Setzer.

The Django web framework is named after him, as is version 3.1 of the blog software WordPress.

"Twango", a track on Duane Eddy's album Road Trip, is a tribute to Reinhardt.

Influence

Many guitar players, and musicians, have expressed admiration for Django Reinhardt, or have cited him as a major influence. These include British rock guitarists Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton, all three of whom are regularly listed by publications such as Rolling Stone or Guitar Player Magazine as being within the top 10 greatest or most influential guitar players (often with Reinhardt, himself). In fact, Jeff Beck has described Reinhardt as "By far the most astonishing guitar player ever..." and "...quite superhuman..." Other notable guitar players influenced by Reinhardt, include Bob Dunn, Leon McAuliffe, Jimmy McCulloch, NWOAHM guitarist Synyster Gates (Brian Haner Jr.) of Avenged Sevenfold, classical guitarist Julian Bream; country artist Chet Atkins, who placed Reinhardt #1 on a list of the ten most influential guitarists of the 20th century (and himself fifth); Latinrocker Carlos Santana; blues legend B.B. King; Pete Townshend of The Who; Australian acoustic guitar player Tommy Emmanuel; The Wiggles' Murray Cook; Pierre Bensusan; Phish's Trey Anastasio; The Libertines' Carl Barat, Shawn Lane; Hank Marvin; Stevie Ray Vaughan; Derek Trucks; Mark Knopfler; Les Paul; Joe Pass; Peter Frampton; Denny Laine; Bill Nelson; Jon Larsen; Steve Howe; Charlie Christian; Frank Vignola; Barney Kessel; George Benson; Wes Montgomery; Martin Taylor; Michael Angelo Batio; Richard Thompson; Robert Fripp; René Thomas; and Jeff Martin. Willie Nelson wore a Django Reinhardt T-shirt on tour in Europe in 2002, stating in an interview that he admired Reinhardt's music and ability. Willie pointed out how Reinhardt's Hot Club quintet paralleled the hot jazz & country fiddle sound of 1930's Western Swing bands Milton Brown and His Musical Brownies and Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys.

Jose Feliciano attributes his unique style to, in part, that of Reinhardt's. In 2009 he composed an album inspired by those musical influences and entitled it Djangoisms.

The Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia and Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, both of whom lost fingers in accidents, were particularly inspired by Reinhardt's ability to become an accomplished guitar player/musician, despite the diminished use of his own permanently injured hand following an accident.

A number of musicians have even named their sons Django in honour of, or respect for, Reinhardt. They include Dawelie Reinhardt, David Crosby, former Slade singer Noddy Holder, Jerry Jeff Walker, Richard Durrant, as well as actors Nana Visitor, Alexander Siddig and Raphael Sbarge. Jazz musician Django Bates and singer-songwriter Django Haskins were also named after him.

Songs written in Reinhardt's honour include "Django," an instrumental guitar piece by renowned blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa. The piece was influenced by the violin introduction of "Vous et Moi" (Blues et Mineur 1942, Brussels) where Reinhardt himself played the violin. Vous et Moi (You and Me) became the title of Bonamassa's sixth album where the track first appeared in 2006. Slightly longer live versions appear on LIVE...From Nowhere In Particular (2009), and in DVD from the 4 May concert at Royal Albert Hall. "Django," composed by John Lewis, which has become a jazz standard performed by musicians such as Miles Davis. The Modern Jazz Quartet titled one of their albums Django in honour of him. The Allman Brothers Band song "Jessica" was written by Dickey Betts in tribute to Reinhardt — he wanted to write a song that could be played using only two fingers. This aspect of the artist's work also motivated Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, who was inspired by Reinhardt to keep playing guitar after a factory accident that cost him two fingertips. Composer Jon Larsen has composed several crossover concerts featuring Reinhardt-inspired music together with symphonic arrangements, most famous are "White Night Stories" (2002) and "Vertavo" (1996).

Not only did Reinhardt put his stamp upon jazz, his "hot" string band music also had an impact upon the parallel development of Texas's western swing string bands, which eventually fed into the wellspring of what is now called country music.

In 2005, Django Reinhardt took 66th place in the election of The Greatest Belgian (De Grootste Belg) in Flanders and 76th place in the Walloon version of the same competition Le plus grand Belge.

Hi Viv.I have tuned to this station at times.I did not know Lich is on it.
The last time I had WJMJ on was at Christmas night when they were one of the last stations that were playing Christmas tunes.

I'm glad FM is getting some airplay on WJMJ since they are a religious station.

They are probably alittle worried about loosing listeners to the new WCCC K-Love station.

Thanks .I got to check them out.Thats what I love about non commercial/College radio stations. They play whatever commercial radio does not play.

Since WDRC change format and the mix of the 1990's music and almost dups WHCN River 105.9 and WPLR.

WHCN surprises me sometimes with Stevie and FM.They enjoy playing them all the time. They will be the first candidate to play FM's upcoming album when it ever gets out. They played the living crap out of SYW when it came out.

I've been listening to WLNG FM Long Island and WHCN plus local AM WQUN 1220 and WICC 600 on the weekends.WCBS 880 for the news.

Alexis Ren And Jay Alvarrez, she did a shoot for Wrangler Australia (ladies high waisted wranglers are back) Which took me to their IG page. First thing I notice is SN and the bugs bunny pic from 76', I thought my eyes had failed me. How ironic and very strange. Scrolling along, more Stevie Nicks and even the Rolling Stone cover (in bed) are posted and SN is even mentioned as their muse. They're everywhere I find remotely interesting!!!!

At 2am this morning i was watching a documentary on TV about an Aussie photographer who travelled to Iceland where he had arranged to met up with an American and 2 local guides at a base camp in the middle of nowhere. Their 3 heavily loaded sleds travelled for 30 days and nights.( Poor dogs)
Finally they reached this top secret Observatory station which was used to spy on the Soviet Union. This massive unusual Dome structure was built in the early 70's. It became disused and unmanned in the mid 80's, they just up and left everything. The film crew strolled though the living quarters & the first bedroom they walked into had a big poster of Stevie on the wall in perfect condition.. lol.. Anyway i thought it was pretty cool :o

It also has one of my favorite (though short) soundtracks of any movie. I can't think of any movie and song that fit as perfectly together as "Slap Shot" and "Right Back Where We Started From" by Maxine Nightingale. The movie also features a few tracks from Fleetwood Mac, one from Elton John, and, of course, "The Stripper."

On the good classic rock station here, there's one good one and one not so good one, they played Buckingham Nicks - Races are Run. Walked into a diner a few days ago to go have dinner with the cast of the show I was in, and Edge Of Seventeen started playing!

Silver Springs in CVS. I think this is the third time FM has been playing while I've been in this particular CVS.

Heard "Hypnotized" on the radio on my way to work a few weeks ago. It was on a new classic rock station that plays more obscure and deep cut tracks. Definitely refreshing to hear that song played and got my day off to a great start.

My mom broke her hip recently and as I was driving her to the hospital she was freaking out because she was in so much pain. She has satellite radio in her car. Sara came on either 70s on 7 or The Bridge, those are the two stations I always listen to. Anyway Sara came on and I turned it up and told my mom to close her eyes and breathe and listen to this song.

Don't Stop this morning on Fox & Friends. Christine's verse was playing.

"Gypsy" in Trader Joe's last Saturday about 9:30am.

Still, my all time "Unexpected Mac" experience was hearing all 9 minutes of the original studio version of "Oh Well" in Outback Steakhouse in Garden Grove, CA in about 1999/2000.

Unexpected FM on twitter...
I think this was the show where Stevie got ill and John took over on vocals...Also NEVER touch Mick's drumsticks because he keeps them warm by putting them down his pants.

I didn't even need to see that photo to suspect that Mick did something like that -- or worse, with the drumsticks.

You Make Loving Fun on the good classic rock station here, right when I got in the car the song just started. You know it's going to be a good drive.

I wish they played Sara on the radio here.

I just heard Station Man on KUTX 98.9... John Aielli (probably Austin's most famous/revered DJ/host) mentioned today was the 45th anniversary of the release of Kiln House, and how that was the last album to feature Jeremy Spencer. :)

Sunday night on "Coast-To-CoastAM" they used the original studio version of "Oh Well" as a bumper tune. George Knapp even called it Peter Green's "magnum opus"!! From what I've heard over the years, George Knapp has a very similar taste in music to mine.

I heard a cover of World Turning playing at Red O. I don't know who the cover band was.

I don't think I've ever heard this song played in the wild before, by FM or anyone else. I only hear it when I'm playing it myself.

A cover of it was used in The Drew Carey Show once. I think that was the first time I heard it.
