hi crystal and welcome to the ledge.

07-02-2007, 08:33 AM
I just read The Wiz's thread regarding the bannings, and people getting in touch with him and pleading the bannings. How is a banned member to get in touch with him? When I read this, I laughed. Glad I am no longer a member there because all of the classic people from there have now come here. Oh and he said something about not just randomly kicking people out or something without getting strikes..... He did it to me, and he did it to the 39 members or whatever that he banned.

Oh and what's even more sickening...... They still talk about me over there and insult me, and I have no way of defending myself..... Oh well.

That's how the Wiz rolls. Attacks people who cannot post back to defend themselves, denies he did anything wrong, and then closes the thread, and deletes people's post. Pretty pathetic and screams to everyone, "there is only ONE side, it is MY side, and you better go along, or you will get the boot." Good Riddance.

Im a newbie from 7W.

Haven't been banned yet though!

So sad whats happened over there!

Hi Crystal!
You probably won't be banned, that ship is sinking so fast
he needs to hold on to everyone he can.
Welcome to the Yacht of the Stevie community,
a big change from the life raft....

Ha! As long as there is somewhere where we can all...congregate!

Well, this board was here long before the 7W board, and the 7W board really only started, I believe, because this one was down for maintenance or some kind of glitch or something. Maybe the Wiz planned it all out, and blew up the Ledge server so he could start his own Kingdom? LOL.
Kind of like he planned his Dreams "Event" in LA the day after NOTS, thinking he could compete with that...another industry STANDARD for years...
Sometimes people really should "pick up the pieces and go home..."...
Anywhoooooo....welcome, and my name is Barbara! I am a but a peon here, but it is a fun place!

where are you from and how long have you been a fan of stevie's or fleetwood macs?

I am from Australia and Ive been a Mac fan for nearly two years!

A friend of mine demanded that I at least try their music.

Ive never been the same since!

I loved FM just listening to them - but I was very much drawn to Stevie.

Actually, I must confess that I'm still posting from time to time but my heart's not in it the way it had been. Maybe I'll feel better about it in a few days, I dunno. Doesn't matter either way, it is just a game, after all. ;)

Hmmm...I see that Michelle, the singer for the Bella Donna band currently has TWO active user IDs at the 7 Wonders board.
If I remember correctly, that was cause for IMMEDIATE BANNING!

I realize Michelle is one of his big supporters now, but isn't FAIR fair to all people and members of the band?

She signed in as B Witches Tuesday October 11th 2005, saying "hello" and she was "new to the board"...B Witches has three posts, and 1 Karma

http://www.sevenwondersonline.net/index.php/topic,58.0.html

Then, in the same board today, "BWitches" also Michelle (she does not claim to be anyone else, says she is Michelle under both names) posts hello to herself or someone...

Now "BWitches" has 979 Posts, and 192 Karma.
http://www.sevenwondersonline.net/index.php/topic,58.15.html
SO, clearly this is TWO accounts on the SAME board by the SAME PERSON.

Even her good friend Nickie is confused by this posting, "Is this a different Michelle?"

Does someone need to point this out to Brian/The Wizard/Liquid Blue 2000 that this is cause for IMMEDIATE banning?

As quoted from the FAQ section:
"Having multiple user names on this forum is not allowed."
And is cause for immediate BANNING.

Both of her user IDs are active...so WTF?
Selective people can VIOLATE rules and stay on the board?

Hmmmmmm.....I know the Wiz is reading this, so you better run and delete one of Michelle's accounts, so people cannot go SEE for themselves that you let the people you LIKE now do as they please....
Another clear example of the UNFAIRNESS of Brian/The Wizard/ Liquid Blue.

Sorry to Michelle, but the facts are the facts and you violated an IMMEDIATE BANNING RULE. Nothing personal.

*EDIT* If Michelle "forgot" she had already registered, she should "remember" when she
answered the post today, in any case, I am pretty sure, if anyone else not in the "support the team no matter how they lie"
who was found to have two accounts for WHATEVER reason, would be immediately banned.
Personally I don't care, I just wanted to point out yet another "ok for you, not ok for that one"
mentality of that board "leader"....

^^ That is utter crap. He banned plenty of people for multiple accounts. That is part of his "zero tolerance policy". Bwwwhhhhaaa.
If Michelle has two accounts she should be treated like everyone else was and immediately banned.

I asked a bunch of question over there and was told to basically just "be quiet". Brian told me to keep my opinions to myself when I asked why banned members emails were not responded to. Seriously, is that any way to run a board? He said he doesn't have to explain his decisions to anyone and he will ban whoever he wants, whenever he wants.

The control issues are starting to really show, baby.
He also pretty much admits to still reading Threadjackers...so he has either hacked in somehow or is accessing one of our accounts. He violates his own board rules on other boards and that is ok. After I asked my few questions and spoke up for the banned members, Wiz replied and then locked the thread. He went on to dictate that if anyone brings up the topic again, the posts will be deleted immediately. He has laid down the law that there is to be no further discussion on HIS board about this matter.

I am pretty shocked that a few older posters are continuing to contribute over there. With the way he treats people, I don't know why anyone would want to be a part of that.

Nope he just ranted and raved about how it was "HIS" board, "HIS" money who started the board, "HIS" rules and it was "HIS way or the highway". He doesn't want anyone's opinion, he considers it rude to email him at any other address other than the one listed on Seven wonders. (people were asking how to get in touch with him considering they couldnt read their profiles any more.....I guess some eventually found an email address for him but it wasn't to his liking. He said it was rude and tacky to email him there and not on the one through the board) I doubt he will open registrations any time soon...UNLESS he decides to try to salvage the sinking ship. He is losing members faster than he can lock threads.

I logged into this message board with only the intent of answering this ONE comment...I cannot believe that I am am even here--DEFENDING myself once again on another board!! Good Lord.

Ok...I do not know why this looks and seems "so sinister"...Actually this is what happened...I was looking around the intro's link and trying to just post answers and welcomes to new people. I actually saw that post that said
" B Witches" and I at first I thought it odd that It was not connected together like my name BWitches...then I saw the date that it was posted and it was a long time ago...What I think happened by the date, is that I either forgot my user name, password or both since I did not visit the board much...and obviously I signed up again...

BELIEVE ME when I tell you ALL that it was an INNOCENT error. This is NOT what Brian banned people for. I do not want to get into it with anyone here, and I wish you all well here. I am happy over there and I will continue to post there. It is comments like this one and the insinuations that will keep me there.

I hope that clears this up. It was not a conspiracy or the work of an "evil do-er's.

Would it make you feel better if Brian DID ban me for that?
No, its Ok, you don't have to respond to that question, because I will not be posting another message here again.

Oh, and good morning, Kathy :)

Stevie sure does have a horse race here! I read an article where she said she absoloutley loved it out here!

Unfortunately I missed her concert though when she was here - But I am hoping she comes back.

Ive never been to the US. Im hoping to be there around August next year. But its all very up in the air at the moment!

PS: Here is a Stevie story for you - when I was round 9 - I would get up early in the morning to watch the Australian charts show. I used to always sit and wait for this one video because I was absoloutley mystified by this woman with big blonde hair, a big red dress and beautiful voice.
I'd not think much of it till many years later - "Rooms on Fire" by Stevie Nicks.

I never made the connection between her singing with FM until my friend started telling me all about them!

Personally, I couldn't care less if you were banned, or if you were made Global Moderator, over at that sinking ship.
"Sinister" or not (never said it was sinister, just against his rule), you broke a RULE that other's broke, and THEY were banned immediately. Because Brian is so desperate, he is allowing you to plead being a dimwit and "forgetting" your actions, and no ban. I wonder if Reba or Bwana or any of the others banned for multiple user names could have eMailed him to say, "ooops I forgets me signed up already, Mister Wizard, I is so so sorry"....I doubt it.
Just pointing out yet another "glitch" in his master RULES for Members.
It is don't do "this" unless you kiss my ass, then you can do whatever you like and pretend you don't know you did it....
LOLOLOLOL.

So when you do something against the rules at the 7 Wonders board, pretend you are an idiot, and say, "oh my gosh, I didn't know I did that...gee, I'm sorry Wizard" see if that works for ya, it did for Michelle...:D
Kind of like when The Wiz put that creature's banner in my posts, "it must be a glitch"...
you said. I know NO ONE can be THAT dumb. You FORGOT in just TWO MONTHS that you had already signed up?
And I never said you were pretending to be anyone ELSE, did you not READ my post?
Just that you had TWO accounts, which is a BANNING AGAINST THE RULES thing, according to your King.
LOLOLOLOL....

There IS no explanation, there IS no logic, and pretty soon there will be no board there. Oh, sure, he will keep it "up" just so he can live in the "I won I won" world that some of his members live in, too...

With so few nice people left, and a bunch of A** kissers, and "throw me a pity party someone said something mean about me" pathetic ones too...
Why is it some people cannot handle being confronted with the TRUTH?

Such a pity. Ya gotta live in the real world these days...and not everyone loves or even likes you. You must get over that, and get your own life :)

I'm beginning to suspect more and more that Stevie is planning to buy a vacation house in Australia; maybe even to "retire" there.
I've recently seen older interviews (early 80s) in which she talks about Australia - she's been raving about how much she loves Australia and how great she feels it is for literally decades. On the flip side, she's recently been making somewhat negative comments about L.A. - the smog and fog often making it look and feel like London, etc.
A new environment can be refreshing.

I could only wish it was June Gloom around here! It's been so hot and dry. I have to agree that the climate here is much more like Australia, or Sydney, than London. I'll take the fog anyday!

Absolutely!
I never understood why she would want to live in L.A., of all places, no disrespect for anyone who lives there, but if I had a lot of money to live anywhere I wishes, L.A. would be not even making the list of home choices.
I don't see anything Enchanting about it, at all. Smog, over crowded, gangs, pollution, etc. Australia sounds like a dream land compared to L.A. (if you live there, and love it, please don't take offense, this is just my opinion).

You left out riots, mudslides, fires and the best of all... earthquakes. I wonder why 15 million people live here? Could be the weather....and JOBS .;)

There is no smog, gangs, or crowds where Stevie lives. Just blue skys and cool ocean breezes...and what a view. Also, the fact that the music industry is based here plays a big part.

This is true. There are plenty of opportunities, but I meant for Stevie, or people who have the $$ already, and aren't looking for a great job...
The weather is beautiful, but I think I would choose Hawaii if I were to choose a state in the USA to live, with beautiful weather and beaches, and I don't know what International country I would choose to live in, as I have not yet been outside the US.

Yes, you have too many people there ;) too!

Barbara, I lived in Honolulu for a year when a job took me there. I thought it was great too...for about a month. Every day, high heat and humidity and rain...lots of rain. In a whole year, the coldest it ever got was 68 degrees at night during a storm. It's like Miami. And you'll need to bone up on your Japanese. Now, if you're retired and can live on Maui, that would be different.

The best place is where the bluegrass grows.:)

Well, I do love KY.
I probably wouldn't want to live in Hawaii, then..maybe vacation...haha... I would have to be there for awhile, I wouldn't just move there without "trying it out".
Japanese? Well, that wouldn't be good, LOL. I think Maui sounds best, LOL,
but I am not retired, so I will stay in KY for now...
Thank you for telling me about this stuff, I always like to hear things from people who have "been there, done that..."

Hi Los Angeles neighbor. :wavey: I live near Century City...you? And I like the June gloom. It burns off by mid day and keeps the afternoon cool

Howdy, Neighbor!

I'm in Culver City, about 6 miles from the Venice Beach area. I also enjoy the overcast, offshore clouds as it keeps it cooler vs. inland, but it's been a bit miserable here, even by the ocean. I'm headed to Pasadena, tomorrow, and you can feel the oppressive heat build as you leave C.C. during that 22 mile ride. Whew!

Knock on wood, we've been spared tumblers and rumblers for a while now. Gah, I need to hit a massive piece of wood...like a sequoia.

Hi Starling, last week I was working near Culver Studios. That area has really improved. Kinda like a mini "Old Town" with all the restaurants and bars.

It will be oppressive heat in Pasadena. You going for the fireworks at the Rose Bowl? I'll be at the Burbank Starlight Bowl for a rock show. Their fireworks were cancelled.:(

Why, yes I am headed to the fireworks show...at least for now. There was some chatter about Santa Monica, too.

Which rock show are you seeing? I have tickets to the Hollywood Bowl for some summer shows. As packed as it is, I have an affection for the place. You ever go to the cemetary movie showings?

Culver has really gentrified and the downtown has a charming feel to it. It started about three years ago and keeps getting better with all the wine bars and French or Italian restaurants complimenting it. A plethora of everything right here in walking distance. :)

 London! If anything Los Angeles has a climate like Sydney. I know I've been there many times on business. It can get a little foggy in the Palisades where Stevie lives, but that is only a few weeks in the May/June gloom period

As a matter of fact I think that's (around) when the interview is from.
Maybe Stevie was going through her "May/June gloom period" right then. ;)

say, Im a Los Angeles neighbor too....only 500 odd miles or so away, practically right next door (as the jet flies)!!! I even have earthquakes and traffic and such

and talk about coincidences, I also lived in Hawaii, over on Kaneohe bay. it was great once I learned how to breathe the thick air....and it only took me two weeks to ignore the damn rooster that crowed at 3am every morning...

the 3rd degree sunburn I had was a minor annoyance, I had a great time
course, when I was there in the 70's there werent quite so many Japanese.

Absolutely!
I never understood why she would want to live in L.A., of all places, no disrespect for anyone who lives there,

Because she made it there - - - And she wanted to stay - - - And what she seems to touch there, these days, just turns to gold - and what she seems to want?
Well, you know - - - she'll find a way! :) :woohoo:

Santa Monica fireworks were cancelled about two-three years ago do to gang violence and shootings. As for as I know they haven't brought it back. Better check first. Anyway I can see it from my upper balcony.

I'm seeing the classic rock band "The Answer". Guest starring is Michelle of Bella Donna who impersonates Stevie Nicks. After that is the Burbank Philharmonic...not sure what they're playing.

I'm going to the Hollywood Bowl August 11th for the Beatles Sgt Pepper 40th anniversary show. LA Phil.
