When I'm not listening to FM, I'm listening to...

[dontlookdown]

It's always interesting to hear what big Fleetwood Mac fans listen to aside from their favorite band. Sometimes you can stumble on some new finds that may or may not be similar to Fleetwood Mac.
I was surprised to see on Amazon that other Say You Will buyers also bought Madonna's new album. I was also delighted to see that Say You Will buyers bought the new Jayhawks and the new Lucinda Williams.
Feel free to share any music that's made an impression on you during the past few years.

For me it's been: Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to The Head, David Gray - New Day at Midnight (Stevie likes David Gray too),
Radiohead - Kid A, Jayhawks - Rainy Day Music, Beth Orton - her last two,
Ryan Adams - his last two, Lucinda Williams - Essence, everything by The Innocence Mission (FM fans check this band out!), everything by the Red House Painters, The last two Go- Betweens records, Jon Brion - Meaningless,
Grant-Lee Phillips - Mobilize, The last two Quasi albums, the last few Emmylou Harris albums......i'll stop before I get out of control

Great thread idea! I do the same thing when I'm at Amazon--check out what other people who like what I like are listening to--you never know you might find someone you really like too. That's how I became a Warren Zevon fan--because I found out that Stevie & Lindsey were friends & had recorded with him. My alternate FM music includes Ryan Adams, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Sarah McLachlan, The Corrs, Darius Rucker (both with Hootie & The Blowfish and solo) and let's not forget my other two Stevie's: Stevie Ray Vaughn & Stevie Wonder! When I'm in the car it's tuned to the "Classic Rock" station with quick jumps over to my "Soul Classics" station!

Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Otis Redding, Bob Marley, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Sam Cooke, Tim Harden, Johnny Cash, Nirvana, the Police, the Cure...

and more recently: the Strokes, the White Stripes, the Roots and Audioslave.

I forgot Nine Inch Nails and Smashing Pumpkins.

It's kind of obvious that FM is the only band I like with female singers.
