I prefer Stevie's songs from FM over her solo work. Now, I LOVE Edge and Stand Back, but overall, her best stuff is with FM, IMO.

Easily, she is better with Fleetwood Mac. The only one of her solo albums that I like is "Bella Donna".

With the band.
Some of her solo stuff i like, including her debut and the most recent effort--partly b/c sheryl crow was involved and helped give her a more folksy, toned-down sound. |

When I look at my favorite Stevie songs, the largest chunk comes from her solo career, so that would definitely be my preference.
But either way is fine by me, just as long as I'm getting the music! ![]()

Solo.
It's less restrained. - Jake

In the band. WITH LINDSEY.
In ANY band WITH LINDSEY. Did I say WITH LINDSEY? Definitely! -Sharon

I would say, for sure, with the band. Even though, I like her solo efforts. I like every member of the Mac better in the band instead of solo. There is just a special chemistry about Fleetwood Mac that just isn't there during their solo efforts.

I'm sort of torn, I mean, her FM stuff is more likely to be of higher quality since they choose maybe 4 or 5 songs per album(usually) and an entire solo album is more likely to have filler but I'm not sure anymore which I prefer.
I think some of her greatest work has been with the band, NOT just because of Lindsey but because of the songs SHE wrote, production can't save a **** song I have to say. Her solo stuff is amazing though as well, it's very hard for me but I'd say with the band, though her solo stuff is far and away the best of the band. |

Solo. Any day of the week. Especially in concert. It just one big Stevie-fest and I am in pig heaven. She is much more subdued live with the band. No bueno, that.
I like the Mac songs too, but percentage-wise, I like solo better. The whole Lindsey/Stevie thing turns me off, even though I do love many of the songs she has done with the band. |
