AT LAST! WE'VE GOT A DATE AND A PLACE
So thrilled to be finally getting back to you with the date for this year's NIGHT OF A THOUSAND STEVIES - and we apologize for all the delays and suspense as we searched for a new home. Due to many factors this year, especially the tragic events in Rhode Island, we had no choice but to wait while clubs opened and closed, were inspected and renovated, to offer you the best - and safest - experience possible.

The 13th edition of NOTS will be held on SUNDAY, MAY 11 (MOTHER'S DAY) at a well-known, long-running venue in Chelsea that can accomodate the new size that NOTS has grown to. Though we can't tell you where till the final details are set (we are far too superstitious for that) we are very pleased with our choice and its large stage, clean and ample bathrooms, first-rate tech, and Downtown New York City location. Though we were hoping to do a Friday or Saturday night, we could not find a suitable venue on one of those nights, and decided that Sunday, with a slightly earlier start time, was the next best thing, offering many more options to out-of-town gypsies for travel than a weeknight. The choice of Mother's Day was a sentimental one, as the event was born and nurtured at MOTHER for many years.

We will be writing back within the week with all the details, as soon as the starting time and several other variables are ironed out, and will also be opening the online Box Office at that time. (The ticket price will remain unchanged at $20.) Since it took us so long to set the date, we have extended the deadline for new or returning performers to contact us until April 6. If you have already contacted us and not received a response, you do NOT need to write again and we will be contacting you shortly. If you have not written to us previously, the performer's instructions are listed below.

If you have performed at any of the prior 12 editions and are interested in returning this year, please contact us by April 6 using one of the methods below and let us know, as well as your first and second song choices.

If you have never performed with us before and are interested in joining the bill this year, please write using one of the methods below. We must hear from you by April 6 to be considered for this year's edition, as space is limited.

New Performers Include The Following:

1) Your performer's name, where you are from, level of experience performing Stevie, and whether you have ever attended NOTS before.

2) Picture or pictures of you (MAXIMUM of three, please) in costume as Stevie, or a link to a website containing such pictures or video clips.

3) OPTIONAL - Other materials, or links to web pages containing - i.e. cassette or CD of live vocals, video of performance, mpegs or other sound files. Please note that items can not be returned, so don't send us originals! Also note that lip-synch and other forms of performance are most welcome - this is not strictly a "live vocals" show!

I am so there! Who else is coming? I really want to perform but I don't have any Stevie costume

But if anyone wants to perform as Stevie I can do a good Lori if we can find a Sharon, and I don't really need a costume because I have red hair. All I'd have to do is curl it. I can sing and I know all the harmony parts.
I'm totally serious if anyone wants to do this.

I just got my niece's wedding pictures back and I did look like Vampira with my long black dress and my hair straight.

But then again, if you don't want to get boo's, I might not be the best choice. Plus, some of those guys make better women then you or I. I'll practice my ooh ooh ooh's just in case..."I'm a few years older than you"

Another year that i won't be able to make the festivities...It's on Mother's Day and my birthday is a few days after that so i'll be with family out of town that day. Oh well...we'll try again next year!

I would love to go. Only went once, when we had one here in LA at The Viper Room. For anyone in the NY area, I would urge you to go ! It is a full blown riot. Probably won't make it to NY, as I am running all over the west coast seeing shows this summer as it is. It would be a great use of frequent flyer miles though...
