Default Night of 1000 Stevies 2003?

Had anybody heard any info on this year's annual ultimate Stevie event?
I so look forward to it - but I just hope it does not coincide with any of the tour dates in May. Anyone know any little details out there?

You do not have to dress in drag to go at all. I have been 7 years and have always worn jeans and a Stevie concert T. Me and about 100 other guys there are wearing the same... just regular old clothes... True - another 100 men are in drag and most all the ladies are Stevie-fied. But it is such a fun time! It's actually my favorite night of the year. You get to be surrounded by hundred of other fans who are just (if not more) fanatic as you. You can strick up a conversation with anyone about this version of "Smile At You" - or the best Setvie dress... EVERYBODY knows everything. I would highly recommend it!

that's cool...several years ago i was going to go but a friend called the place and somehow we were told that we had to dress like Stevie so we chickened out (brock brock brock!!!) i supposed you could call the place that they've held it the past few years and maybe they could direct you...it's usually held in May...or maybe if you emailed john kinney from the Nicks Fix he might know...???

I may be wrong but i thought that last years was going to be the last one. I remember reading it somewhere and being really bummed cuz it meant i was never gonna get to go (not that i plan on being on the east coast anytime in the next decade or so).

Anyone else remember that or is it just my imagination?

Talking NOTS is not dead

This is from mothernyc.com:

Everyone's asking the same question - when and where is this year's edition of NIGHT OF A THOUSAND STEVIES? The 13th edition of NOTS WILL take place in New York City in early May, on a weekend night. Event producers THE JACKIE FACTORY are currently investigating all suitable venues in downtown Manhattan as the event has outgrown its recent home, Don Hill's. The choice of venue is critical and has taken longer than we would have liked for this most Enchanted Evening. Please be patient - we WILL be announcing the venue and date VERY soon!

They have already picked this year's theme - A WELSH WITCH - and have begun to put the performer's roster together. For more information about performing and for the first word on the date and place, subscribe to the NOTS email list at [email protected] or check the NOTS pages.

So I guess last year was the last at Don Hill's. I went and had a blast. It was really crowded. For guys who don't want to go in drag, might I suggest going as Lindsey or Waddy ?
I don't have any real stevie clothes or a blonde wig, but I wore jeans with a blouse that is kinda Stevie-ish and Stevie boots. A lot of people were in casual clothes, but the women and men who went all out in Stevie-wear were really stunning
I am subscribed to that mailing list mentined in the blurb above and have not heard anything yet but will definitely let you all know as soon as I hear something. I will definitely be going and I hope to meet some Ledgies .
