Post Philly Show Seats

Can anyone give me some insight as to whether or not Section 115 in the First Union Center is an obstructed view? I haven't been to a concert there yet, and I want some info to be able to evaluate seat offerings for tomorrow's sale. Any insight into good sections is appreciated! Thanks!!

Section 115 is not obstructed view...although it is a view from the side on Lindsey's side of the stage (traditionally). 115 begins right at the front corner of the stage so there's reslly nothing blocking you. I'd be careful about 116, though. There is a 50/50 chance you would be obstructed from that area due to speakers and the like.

Hey, thanks a bunch! I was worried about the speakers, etc. and wasn't sure how far out they would be.

How about floor seats? Any recommendation there? I am guessing that there will be some up for sale tomorrow since there really were not many offered during the presale. Do you know how many rows are in Sect. 1/2/3? I guess I just want to know how far back section 4 is from the stage. I am only 5'5" and I want to be able to see!!

Thanks alot for your imput! I really appreciate it!

I'm in section 8 row 10 on the floor, and if that's for the seating chart "endzone", they're not all that wonderful. As I've posted before, for the Philly show there's no seating chart labeled "Fleetwood Mac", which is making me antsy. -Jake

Hi Jake,

Not to be the bearer of bad news (but I'd rather you know before you go) your seats are in the very rear of the floor. You will be behind all other floor sections and will probably have to stand as the floor at the First Union Center is very flat with no elevation whatsoever.

Hey, Jake - I can't believe that there are row 10 tickets on ebay for this venue - geez . . . .

I can only guess that your tickets are pretty far back - I am crossing my fingers for tomorrow's public sale.

I did get them in the pre-sale, and you can guess what I paid. I logged on right when it opened (to the second) and had no delay whatsoever, and these are the seats I got. Gee, what's that rotten smell from over in the Fan Club?

From what you've told me, it sounds like the "endstage" seating as I was expecting.

Regarding standing: I flew into Philly for The Dance tour, as I had a wedding the night FM would be in Houston. Technically it was the E-Center in Camden, which was a horror. Traffiuc was so bad we arrived during GDW (4th song!). We stood for some of the songs, as people in front of us were standing, too. Seating was inclined, with the grass seats on the hill behind us. Whenever we stood people were THROWING stuff at us and screaming. I've NEVER had that experience at a concert before. It was a bad time.

I agree with you there, Jake. The fanclub seats really stunk. I had already bought 2 tix on the venue presale and got section 4 row 4 about one hour after I realized they had already gone on sale. There's no telling what I lost out on in that hour for the venue presale!

I was in Camden for the Dance tour, also. We had row 10 in the orchestra pit for that one and stood the whole show. If you were in the back near the lawn seating and stood up...it would not surprise me that things were thrown at you. This is the Philly area after all and the people in this area are known as some of the toughest and least understanding in the country.

Hopefully you have a better time in Philly this tour. Enjoy the show!

Ok, so I was on ticketmaster when the sale started and I got Section 114, row 13, seats 12/13. Do you have an estimate as to how far they are from the stage? I didn't know if the seats were in the middle of the row or closer to section 115 or section 113.

There were no floor seats left.

Section 114 will be a GREAT view (unless you had your heart set on floor seats). You will just high enough in row 13 so as not to miss a thing...even if people stand! There is one section closer to the stage so I would judge that you are going to be about 75-100 feet from the stage...give or take.
You are not going to be upset with those seats!

Wow!! That is awesome!

I see that there are four seats in section 2, row 10 on ebay right now . . . I just can't see spending so much more for those tickets. I thought that the price was supposed to be limited to a little more than face value for tickets for sale in PA. Oh well.

There are laws regarding that but they are rarely enforced on ebay

The "pros" at "scalping" will usually sell them from a NJ address so they can get around the law.
