Planets Question

[LilyRhiannon]

When is the very first version of this song from? I know it was written a LOONGGG time ago, but I want to know when it was first released or preformed to any sort of public. I'm trying to pin it to around 1976, when apparently my grandma met Stevie and her mom at the Tally-Ho in Lakewood, Colorado. I ask because I was playing TISL over the weekend and somehow my grandmother who 99.9% of the time listens to the 50's station or talk radio knew all the words.
Anyway, thanks.

From what i know the piano demo of Planets originated sometime in 1976...come to think of it,it might say in the TISL booklet...just look under the copyright date.Hope this helps
