Default Stevie's producers

I am confused as to the chronology here. I know Jimmy Iovine produced Stevie's first solo albums but didn't she "break up" with Jimmy and go to someone else? Who produced Rock a Little?

Well in the words of Tom Petty, "Lindsey is her best producer." I agree!
Now that they are all cozy again, can you imagine if she does another solo record after the new FM Tour wraps....if Lindsey produced it? Killer!

He should have been producing for her all along, that musical marriage is just incredible!

Besides, after this tour is over, they will need another reason to work together, and what better to do than a new Stevie solo CD?

I agree that Lindsey works wonders for her music but if she used him as a producer her solo projects would end up sounding the same as the FM stuff....also, i think it's only right to expand her horizons musically and one way of achieving that is by working with different people.

As far as the Rock a Little project...i think she started working with him and cut a lot of songs but then i believe Jimmy walked out and she had to find other producers...I remember an interview on MTV back in 1985 where she was talking about recording that album and joking about moving everyone she knew to Dallas to record and she wasn't really prepared and how it put Jimmy in a bad spot...she also went on to say that the album took longer to record and there were reasons that she couldn't get into at that moment as to why it took so long...

Also, in the Behind the Music thing she mentioned how her partying was not fun for Jimmy and that's why he left...I guess i could have just said that instead of rambling!!!! oh well!!!!

Well, there's also two other references. 1. The Enchanted booklet in the lyrics section -- Stevie talks about Reconsider Me and how Jimmy wanted it on the album but Stevie didn't like asking a man to "Reconsider her." 2. There is a demo from RAL called Jimmy Come Back. I forget what it sounds like...I had downloaded a bad quality version and I think deleted it...but the lyrics should be at sararhiannon.com.
