Why did she let it go to Marilyn Martin for Strees Of Fire?...

i don't know any background info as to why Stevie let Marilyn use it...i've never read or heard anything directly about it from Stevie...I'm sure she figured since it was her song she could "lend" it to someone else so at least it would get out to the world somehow. I know she wanted to use it in place of "Rhiannon" for the White Album but it got nixed.

Stevie has so many songs that some of the ones best intended to go on an album don't make it for many reasons. Maybe it didn't fit into the context of the album or she's just plain unsatisfied with the recording at that time.

I do like all the versions myself too!
