Thumbs up Some great buys!!

I just found this great record store near my dorm, called Wazoo Records. They had an awesome collection. I got Stevie's Wild Heart on vinyl for 3 dollars and Fleetwood Mac Live at the Boston Tea Party CD for like 8 dollars. But they had a bunch of FM Lps. Like Future Games, Heroes are Hard to Find, Mystery to Me, Live at the Boston Tea Party. A great store, I was way excited. But when I was paying for the stuff I bought, the guy was like "well you know this fleetwood mac cd is the original ones, so stevie nicks isn't in it" I was like, come on, just because i'm 18 doesn't mean i'm a music idiot. I don't know, that just kind of bothered me.

But anyways, i'm planning on visiting that store often!

Angry Doesn't that make you mad!!

When people are SO STUPID..I mean, if you are buying Fleetwood Mac pre-SnL, then they should KNOW that you are a HUGE fan and would know that Stevie isn't on those records!! DUR!! I don't know why it bothers me so much, but people speak to me like I'm a 12 year old child sometimes and it IRRITATES the heck of out me!! I went to Best Buy and this guy saw me looking at FM CD's and he goes, "I use to listen to Fleetwood Mac back when I was in the army. When they were a blues band. I'm surprised someone your age likes them." I went, "Well, I'm 26, they are my favorite!" And he's all, "Yeah, but you are still really young to know them!" I'm thinking, "THEY AREN'T DEAD!! They are STILL Fleetwood Mac!!" Geez.

Anywho, that is WAY awesome that you found the store!! There aren't any record only stores round these parts...only Half Price Books, but HEY, I found a TON of FM and FM related stuff there!! YAY!!

Smile There's a store...

in OKC called "Happy Days Records" and they carry nothing but great music (They carry no teeny-bop or rap...lol) but they have everything else you can almost imagine...Speaking of "Imagine", I just bought a good copy of the classic John Lennon there for $5.49 yesterday...Very cool...Brian J.

Oh wow!! I just found another great record store today. It was kind of hidden, above a Subway. But, it was awesome. They had the promo LP of Tusk and Bella Donna. And the had Rock a Little, Mirage, Live, Tango in the Night, and Behind the Mask in LPs too. I was soooo excited!!. However, i only had enough money to buy 2 of them, but I'll be sure to go back. But I was the only person in the store, so when I went to check out, this man was really nice. He actually explained the process of making the records and how the promo LPs were in such better condition. Anyway, just another exciting find I thought i would share

Maybe he was just looking to strike up a friendly conversation. And who else better to talk to than a Mac fan.

People get so caught up in themselves these days. I would find it refreshing when a stranger strikes up a conversation just trying to be friendly.

The world is full of "big" problems now, so I make a point to extend myself more and not be so critical of others. Lifes to short to get our panties in a wad over trivial matters.

Cool Yeah, I love when sh*t like that happens...

I was browsing in a used vinyl store one day, looking for Buckingham Nicks. The dude working there asked me if there was something in particular I was looking for and after I told him, he goes "hang on a sec." He went to the back of the store and returned w/ the gatefold version, in great condition! Needless to say, I bought it (for $5).

They have record conventions here twice a year and I usually make a point of going at least once. This guy had stacks and stacks of old Rolling Stone magazines. One of the FM ones was on top of a stack, I bought it for a quarter!

Yeah, I guess I was being a bit over critical. I'm sure he was just trying to be helpful I don't know, it just bothers me sometimes. Oh well, life goes on
