Default Song intros that make me cringe

I have a problem with a few of Stevie's solo songs. The problem is I love the song itself, but the intro just doesn't seem to go with the song or does not compliment the song. Does anyone else notice this?
For instance, I adore Ooh My Love, but I detest the intro. My skin just crawls until it over.
I feel the same way about Nightbird. I like it alot, except for the intro. I hate that organ music keyboard in the beginning.
Other songs that annoy me in this way are Sable on Blond - that aaah, aaaahh, ahhhhhhhhhh at the beginning makes my fillings hurt, but the song is very cool.

By contrast, my fav Stevie solo intros are Edge of 17, Stand Back, Enchanted, Outside the Rain, Rooms on Fire, and Blue Lamp.

Anyone else hate some intros but love the actual song?
What are some other candidates?

OH YES. Listen To the Rain, I LOVE this song very much, but it has a very annoying intro. I still miss someone does too but i hate that whole damed song so.

Yes, I Still Miss Someone has a bad intro, but I do like that song. Who wouldn't love yet another tune recorded due to lamentations over missing Lindsey? Ummmmm!

I don't like the intro to Bella Donna, either, but the song is classic Stevie.

That is exactly what I thought when I saw the subject title, LOL! It just bugs me, but I like the rest of the song. There are a lot of intros on the Street Angel album that irritate me too, with the two that come to mind right now being Street Angel and Docklands.

One of my favorite would have to be the intro to Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You... short, but sets the whole feeling of the song right from the beginning... I love the outro too.

Laura.

'When I see You Again' (EXCUSE ME WHILE I CRAWL OUT OF MY SKIN!!!!!!!) I'm sorry, the intro and the whole song is one big mess.........

I love the intro to 'Trouble in Shangri-La'.....It slowly builds up to that awesome ending...It is definetly in my top 5 stevie songs now....

I actually dig "Sable On Blond's" intro. It's a lovely little sigh, and leads beautifully into what I consider to be one of Stevie's sexiest songs.

Well, the ones that stick out in my head as bad intros are Listen to the Rain, Love's a Hard Game to Play, and Sisters of the Moon ONLY BECAUSE it is too long. The intro music to Sisters on the album is like, a minute long, and I always think, get ON with it! But back to LAHGTP, it took me a very long time to listen past the opening and hear a pretty good song. That opening though with that squeaking guitar, omg, I still hate it. I mean, I can usually take the sound of fingers sliding quicking across the guitar making that squeak, but it's so LOUD on the opening of this song.

The remix-edit of "Love's A Hard Game To Play" omits that little acoustic guitar intro, so the song begins with the "BUM-bah-bah....bum...." part. It's almost a little disconcerting not to hear the guitar first.

I have to say that I have never been a fan of "Docklands"... I love the majority of the song, but the first verse always left me scratching my head, as to why Stevie chose *that* song, of all things, to record.

But in the last couple years it has definitely grown on me, and I enjoy it quite a bit.

(Though I'm still baffled as to why she also chose to perform it on tour!)

Talking Too funny!

Righto for "Sister Honey" or should I say "Sister Funny"!
The bare bones of the song's just great...but that
cheesy synth intro? Too much! Remember that
80's song "Let's Here It For The Boy" ? For some
reason "Sister Funny" reminds me of that one!
