Question Stevie Tambourine Question.....

Ok, I know that Stevie uses a Rhythm Tech tambourine, but does anyone know what type of jingles she uses?? brass or nickel?? If anyone could help me out here, I'd really appreciate it!!!

Question I think their all nickel...

I don't think I've ever seen her using brass, but could be wrong...

I've got the crescent-shaped glow-in-the-dark one, like she used on the Timespace tour. :-)

it doesn't really matter cause they put tape over her jingles so they don't make noise...

Smile yeah....

i thought I read somewhere about how they put tape over the jingles.... I'll probably end up doing the same to mine ... but I just wanted my tambourine to be as Stevie-ish as possible, right down to the jingles

Oh, don't put tape over the jingles! That's the fun part! Especially if you have evil siblings or easily irritated neighbors...

My tambourine is getting a makeover right now. It's being glitter-fied.

Laura.

Awesome! I just want some black chiffon to put on mine...

Here's another tambo question:

How the heck does Stevie attach ribbons and such?

A funny story, when I was in band in high school, I played the xylophone, but that section also included the auxiliary percussion instruments which would be ones like the claves, the cassanets, and of course the tambourine. So, the people in my section knew what a big Stevie fan I was, and basically my section got away with murder. We were so bad and never got yelled at. So for my final Spring concert, I played the tambourine on the one song because the xylophone part was boring and I always had to play the tambourine on at least one song. That night the people in my section gave me the tambourine and it had tape streaming down from the corner so it looked like fringe, or like what Stevie does to her tambourines. So I played the concert with a Stevie-fied tambourine.
