Cool Tough One

OK. I know this is a tough one, but what is your favorite Stevie song(solo) and why?

Mine has got to be "No Spoken Word" when she starts out

I was just that old, that August, dark, dark day.
It gets me every time!

I also LOVE "Some Become Strangers."

Default Lots!

Mine has to be "Leather And Lace", not only because of the song itself, but also because of a special person that reminds me of it.

But I also love tons of others, like "Rock A Little (Go Ahead Lily)", "Edge Of Seventeen", "Stand Back" and "Rooms On Fire", to begin with.

I love this song - "Someday, when we're older, and my hair is silver-gray, unbraid with all of the love that you have like a soft silver chain." Beautiful.

Heart STAND BACK!! Just like the white-winged dove...

I love Stand Back and Edge of 17 equally, they both ROCK OUT, and when I hear em, gotta crank up the radio....speaking of, I turned on the radio earlier today and DAD GUMMIT, I heard a familiar sound, it was Stand Back, and DANGIT, it was the last 30 seconds of the song!! AAHHH!! I was SOOOO MAD! I was like, if I had JUST turned the dang radio on like 3 minutes earlier or so, I would have heard the whole thing! Isn't that stoopid, I mean, I have the dang song on CD and yet, I hear it on the radio and GET MAD when I don't hear the whole thing! LOL Crazy FM fan that I am...

It changes a lot, but right now it's Talk to Me. I just love her vocals!

And I will always, always, always love Bella Donna. Such an amazing song...when Stevie sings "And the lady's feeling/Just like the moon that she loves/Well don't you know that the stars are a part of us" I just get chills. Amazing.

YOu're right, this is a tough one

After seeing Stevie live last summer I guess I'd have to say Stand Back. She just seemed to have so much energy during this song. And the opening is killer. Once I was at a St. Patricks' Day party and I requested Stand Back to the DJ and he played it. I was so excited and I sang and danced to the whole thing. However, I was the only one on the dance floor. But that's OK.

There are also a lot of demos of Stevie's that I absolutely love. When I hear her voice accompanied by just a piano, it's just magical.

Gold and Braid! I love the energy in this song!

"Because I never did not love you. I never did run from you. In a dream I said to you that I'd always love you!" whoa whoa whoa.

That's my favorite part.

my all time favorite... as if I ever could pick one, it would probably be Wild Heart. Stevie's poetry on this rocker is pure magic...and Stevie's voice is at top form so her moan at the end "blame it on my wild heart" still gives me chills after all these years...

"...and even though the livin' is sometimes laced with lies, it's alright...the feeling remains even After The Glitter Fades."

Well, that's my fav right now. It changes all the time...but I guess I'm feeling a little protective of it, LOL, since it's getting kicked off that poll.

I can't possibly pick a favorite solo song. Stand Back, Edge of 17, Think About It, Ooh My Love, Planets of the Universe...I take that back. I think Planets is my favorite Stevie song solo (the extended album version). And FM Stevie song is a no brainer for me, Gold Dust Woman all the way.
