Default Favorite Q&A

If you had to choose your favorite Q&A so far, which would it be?

I'd pick Bob Welch, who was funny & casual & amiable & jokey AND informative -- he dished a little dirt when he had to & told his side of the story but was still fair.

I also thought George Hawkins was a good subject, although he tended to be a little too treacly when talking about Christine & not realistic enough (nobody in Fleetwood Mac is a god or a goddess).

Javier was a blast to read, too, but I sense that certain issues from his past with Buckingham & Nicks & even Olsen have yet to be satisfactorily resolved.

I think that Bob Weston & Janet Robin brought a level of commitment & seriousness to their task of answering questions, whereas a few others seemed to be responding much of the time under duress.

And then one or two of them were just plain bizarre! Sweet, but bizarre. I'd mention his name but I don't want him to get "hopping" mad.

I completely agree with Bob Welch's Q & A being the best. He was honest, sometimes brutally honest. That's what made it so fascinating to read. I think I remember he mentioned he was going to write a book-that's a book I'd love to read. George Hawkins also was very interesting, especially his insight into Christine.

Oh my God! Someone's posting in the Q&A forum!

I'd vote for Bob Welch's too. He was tough at times, but I think he tried to be fair or admitted when he knew he couldn't be fair. What more can you ask?

Everyone is going to find their comfort level in terms of what they want to share in a different place, so I certainly can't fault those who felt more protective about some things. It's sort of the nature of the beast that the closer we get to having guests with direct, close and current connections to the bandmembers, the more tight-lipped they'll become because they're protecting friends, friendships and privacy. We are, after all, perfect strangers to these folks and here we are sometimes asking delicate questions.

I would tend to say that those who answered in one-liners or under apparent duress, as you said, were probably the most disappointing just in terms of the time they couldn't/didn't spend. I really wanted to enjoy Ken Caillat's Q&A, but half way through when he seemed to feel like he had to answer 30 questions in 10 seconds flat, a lot was lost.

It's funny how some of these Q&As prove out the theory that fans know more than the subjects themselves sometimes.

Wow Les, lots of activity here today!

I completely agree with one and all... to me, Bob Welch's Q&A was the most gripping.
I enjoyed every single minute of it, and wished I could have thought of some insightful questions to ask him!

Ken Caillat's was also interesting, though I agree with Les, it seemed that he was a bit rushed at times.

To be completely honest, I think the only one that kind of left me a bit disatisfied, was Billy Burnette's, though I'm sure he was extremely busy and didn't have as much time to devote to answering the questions as he probably would have liked.

Rick Vito's was terrific though, and I wouldn't mind seeing him do a follow-up.

Really though, I've enjoyed them all.

One person I would LOVE for us to have the chance to "grill" would be Sharon Celani. But I imagine it has to be next to impossible to get ahold of her.

Cool Good question!!

You know I haven't even read them all yet, but one I did enjoy, and actually participated in, was Brett Tuggles's(sp?) Q&A. I guess because he had such a "current" insight into Stevie Nicks' activities before the release of TISL. Inquiring minds want to know!!
