Default Stevie/Dixie Chicks on Divas

I stole this from the CMT Canada (don't ask! ) website, I'm not sure if it's been posted before or not:

Watch for the Dixie Chicks this week on VH1’s Divas Las Vegas, where they will perform Stevie Nicks’ “Landslide” with Stevie, plus their new track “Long Time Gone”.

Landslide, eh? Sure to be interesting!

Landslide?

I love it and all, but

Landslide? Again? Without Lindsey?

How anticlimactic.

C'mon Stevie. Been there, done that about a half million times!

There's so many other cool things she could do. Boo Hoo Hoo!

Please let her do something else!

That's so incredibly true. I was at least hoping for a rousing version of Stand Back. It's a high energy show, I don't know why she would pick Landslide. OR, I just re-read the news thing, and it says Dixie Chicks will perform Nicks's Landslide...nothing really about if Stevie will do something on her own. We'll wait and see...

Exclamation Well...

At least we know Stevie is going to be singing after all, But I agree, "Landslide" would only be great with Lindsey...I would prefer to hear either "Love Is" or ""Too Far From Texas" done with the Dixie Chicks...Even "If You Ever Did Believe" would be cool with the 'Chicks...Brian

I guess she's just doing what takes the least effort. I'm sure she could do that in her sleep at this point - probably no rehearsal necessary, she can just whip it out, no sweat. I think that's why she and Lindsey did it at AHI, too - to save effort.

Default Ok.....

So...how do you do Landslide with a bunch of girls...and no Lindsey???? I don't understand why she'd want to do that song, knowing that no other substitute guitar player is as good as the original!! UNLESS..of course Lindsey pops out of the shadows, as a surprise"guest" . Hmmm... Guess thats just wishfull thinking, on my part. Oh well.

It would be nice, but it probably is wishful thinking. Besides, I'm not sure Lindsey would want to be an honorary 'diva'...

I don't think Linds would touch this spectacle with a 20 foot pole using Mick's hand!

".......and here we have another, another piece of glitz"
LOL!

He would rather have spikes driven into his temples than endure this thing.

No, he'll be far, far away I'm sure!
I'm only watching it because Stevie is going to be on for about a nanosecond!

oh, the things we fans do!
Gotta love us!

Smile

Last I heard The Dixie Chicks were going to bring her out in a wheel chair.....as Grandma Stevie.

C'mon Stevie, I love Landslide, but I think you need to cut loose a little bit and take us to THE EDGE!!
