So his "Slidemaster" album has just been released. Here's an article and an interview.

He’s been living in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee. He told about Peter Green (and the 2020 tribute concert), John Mayall, Billy and of course how he got into his Mac years, which songs were more difficult (Christine’s or Stevie’s), his works with Stevie... it was a great experience those years he said. No details about why he wasn't involved in the Time album.

Thanks for posting. Great interview. We finally get to know how he was asked to join Fleetwood Mac since there was no connection to him and the band. For those that did not listen Rick went over Billy's house to help him on a song for one of Billy's upcoming albums. Mick was at the house and was the drummer. Rick had his band and performed at clubs and always played a few Peter Green song. Billy took him to the club to see Rick's band. So when Mick wanted Billy he suggested Rick since he already knew some vintage Mac songs.

I would like to ask about Stevie's Street Angel tour since that was a dramatic time in her life and how he liked going out on that tour. I would kill to know if he got any royalties from Ford's use of his Like A Rock song. That was a HUGE commercial for Ford in the late 80s into the 90s.
It sounds like Stevie helped him get a solo deal at a record company. Stevie was really good to both Rick and Billy. She was the one that insisted they get equal shares of tour proceeds.

Thanks for the summary of how Rick came to join FM! Like you, I also hope Rick got a huge payday for Like a Rock.

Rick was signed by Modern Records, the company Stevie and (I believe) two other guys started. Stevie, Rick, and I think one other artist, maybe Marilyn Martin but I think it was another female artist, were the only singers signed by Modern. For the Street Angel tour, Rick was also the musical director, as Waddy was having… legal troubles at the time, to put it lightly. I thought it was great that Rick was on that tour, he got a bum deal by FM but he clearly enjoyed working with Stevie.

Sandy Stewart was on Modern Records too. Her album Cat Dancer was a solid release and was available on CD for a limited time. I went to two of the Street Angel shows and thought Stevie was in great voice and her interaction with Rick was really nice. The live version of Blue Demin was a highlight from that tour. Rick's album Two of Hearts was released on Modera and had Stevie on two tracks around that same time.
