Default Thankyou for/to John!

Does anyone know how John is lately?

To John: Thankyou for your wonderful music, and if you're okay it would be nice to hear from you even if it's just to talk about your opinions and approaches to music and in particular, playing the bass guitar.

After all, you and Mick are the rhythm section of Fleetwood Mac and your legacy will live on forever.

Kindest Regards!

I’d love to hear about John, too. But he has always seemed to be a very private person. I don't think we'll hear from him for a while. I think he must be enjoying a quiet life with his famliy, although enjoying is relative since Julie with him, and Christine passed away too. But he has a family so he is not alone, I hope. We know he loves sailing, hopefully he's doing it if his health and energy allow it.

I assume he no longer feels the need to play music or keep himself busy in that business. If that were the case, I'm sure Mick would have invited him and he would have been with him and Lindsey at the sessions we've seen recently.

I agree that if John had any interest in playing, mick would have made him feel welcome. I just think he has no desire to do it anymore.

Haven't heard much about his health. Only heard he could barely walk at Chris's memorial and needed to use a cane, he was pretty destroyed. A few months later, when he went to the opening of Molly's film The Ossam in April 2023 he looked pretty good; Julie attended that with him.

I don't know if he has a boat anymore. I hope he has a small one...the big one, he sold i believe around the time Chris passed. I also heard the people who bought it were from New England, so the boat had to be sailed around to the east coast so they could pick it up. Once they took possession of it , they tried to return home up the coast but hit a storm, and the boat sank. Don't know what happened to the people! But very sad all around. He loved his boats and got so much happiness on the water. I hope he still finds a way to do that.

I see quotes from his Q&As in books a lot ( often uncredited to us btw... -_- ) so that kind of makes me happy that writers and fans still use that as a resource. That was John's best interview ever. Perhaps I'm biased.

I think about him all the time , and wish him health and peace... he's such a good guy, and he deserves it.

He really was the most normal, level headed member of the band.

I loved that back in the day, he'd ride back to the hotel with the crew, to not have his account dinged for the limo ride.

I hope he's doing well.

The fact that he was at her bedside, hopefully holding her hand, means the world to me. Also, it's a beautiful ending to their ubiquitous careers. They will always be Everywhere! Miss them, and also hold them dear. I hope he's relaxing and enjoying whatever he can from life.

I think about John a lot also. Especially since he lost not only Chris, but his wife Julie also. Take care John and know you are loved by a lot of us Fleetwood mac fans. Best bass player ever!
