So this song was written by Bryan Adams and Jim Valance for Stevie Nicks and it would have went on her Rock A Little album. She ended up not recording it. Roger Daltrey recorded it. It's a good song and I'm sad it didn't make it on her album, which could have used it. This song and Don't Come Around Here No More shows that Rock A Little could of been a good album.

Oh Jondalar, you had me thinking Stevie released a new song! I’m really impressed by the legacy of Roger and Pete’s solo careers. I hear their solo work more on Sirius than I do Stevie’s which blows my mind.

It sounds a little like his song Somebody.

I'm glad she didn't record it.

It does sound like his hit Somebody which was out almost at the same time. On the wikipedia page it does say he wrote it for Stevie but not sure she ever heard it. LMAO. That tells you all you need to know about that era and Stevie. She was in another world. This is leaps and bounds better than anything on RAL.
This song was on Roger's Under A Raging Moon album. IMHO that song is brilliantly written about Keith Moon and one of the best songs of the entire 80s. Its explosive and full of so much passion, written from the heart. It gives me goosebumps listening to it. I can remember sitting on my parent's back porch listening to this with my Walkman on. Yuck. Wouldn't be my type of Stevie song.

Do you think she’s going to release new music next year?

I love finding out about things like this. There are lots of might-have-been songs from around this time in her career. On first listen, I don't think it would have been a vital addition to the album, but it would have fit in fine. It's good, not great.
The song that was offered to Stevie that really blows my mind is "Love Will Find a Way" by Yes. I have read that a solo Greatest Hits album was originally planned for release circa 1987, and I wonder if "Love Will Find a Way" was meant to be a new song on it. Yes deciding to keep the song for themselves would help explain why the Greatest Hits album was cancelled. |

Hmmmm….hardly a stellar song, but it’s okay. It’s certainly of its time. Reminds me a bit of Don’t Do Me Like That by Tom Petty.
I could see Stevie recording this. But it wouldn’t have been a stand out track.
