Default Songs You Used to Not Care About but Now Love?

Anyone else here have Stevie songs that you would sometimes skip over or just never particularly love, but now they have become some of your favorites? For me those songs are definitely How Still My Love, New Orleans, Moonlight. When I first became a fan of Stevie How Still My Love was always one of my least favorites from Bella Donna. However, lately probably due in large part to the live version included on the reissue I have been listening to it non stop. I now consider this one of her best songs. I love the part on the live version at the end where she's all "How still baby, hold still baby," she just sounds so good!! Love the US Festival and Soundstage versions as well. As for New Orleans and Moonlight, they were not stand out tracks for me on IYD. But after hearing them performed live this tour I have a newfound love for them. The raw emotion Stevie puts into singing these songs gives me chills!

Feel free to share any of yours!

Have not seen Stevie on this tour (yet!) but I remember before I was a fan and all I knew of Stevie was Edge of Seventeen and the 1976 youtube video of Rhiannon. I was searching for songs like that and everyone online kept raving about Dreams and Gold Dust Woman but I just did not understand the appeal. Now, of course, I've taken the time to listen to them all the way through and I get it!

I hope this tour changes my opinion of New Orleans.

A lot of Stevie's songs have grown on me... For instance I never used to listen to TOSOTM but now I can play it all the way through and sing along to every song. I like that Stevie's catalog is so huge that there's an album for every mood.

As for Moonlight I loooooove the Rock A Little demo of this song! I like that Stevie now performs it in a similar way. So beautiful. I can't wait to see it live.

Neat thread. Off the top of my head:

Jane - at first did not care for it but its sung from the heart and I like it

Rock A Little - still hate the album cut but the extended version (which should have made the album) is so good it makes me like the song. Her singing is so much stronger and the extended parts make sense. The album cut has horrible barely audible singing and is chopped up from the original song.

Storms - My first Tusk album was played on my cheap stereo (really a record player) and with all the vinyl scratch noises took away the beauty of the song. It was not until years later I realized what a gem this song is and is one of my favorites from Tusk.

Angel (album track on Tusk) has become one of my all time favorites. Love the punchy 4/4 beat and the touches from each band member, and Stevie in an interesting mood that continually flows and changes, throughout the song.

So far still can get to like "You Cant Fix This" with the noise racket that over drives Stevie's voice.Sooner or later I probably end up liking it.
