This is probably the most beautiful film I have ever seen in my life... My uncle loved old films, and considering he was French, this particular film had been played so many times on his old reel-to-reel projector, years before I had even heard the song Beauty and the Beast. One thing I have always said though, was that the last five minutes killed the whole plot.. And of course if you listen to the first take of the song where Stevie talks about the film, she says the same thing. When you have time, PLEASE watch this in full.. it is truly haunting and gorgeous, and is one of my favourite movies of all time.

...and here is the first take of the song where Stevie talks about the film.

I saw the Wild Heart tour in Pittsburgh in 1983. Before singing Beauty and the Beast she told the audience to see this movie.

Stevie babbles and does not mention the movie during this introduction in 1983 but IMHO Beauty and the Beast needs Roy Brittan on piano and especially live. That is what makes this so special besides the fact Stevie has passion while singing this in 1983,

Oh wow, I would love to share memorable experiences. It was my first rock concert and I was 13. I remember listening to Joe Walsh on WDVE before the concert and even at 13 I knew he sounded tanked. Didn't someone throw fireworks on the stage during Joe's encore and Joe had a fit telling someone to go home and light them off in their closet or something.
Stevie looked a bit dazed but then commented that being on stage makes her feel so much better than she felt backstage. Maybe she was fighting on the phone with Kim or something before the show. But the most memorable thing was how Stevie thought she was not sounding right with the microphone. She would actually move those giant monitors on the stage around and say a women is allowed to be totally fickled. I believe she sang Beauty and the Beast at Waddy's microphone because she did not like her microphone.
But Stevie was totally chatty cathy and loved making faces at the audience. I wish I could find a recording of this concert.
