It's from the 1991 MTV Video Music Awards at Universal City 05 Sep 1991. She wore large crosses almost all the time between '87 and '96!

I know I'm in the minority, but I love her '89-'91 look. The whole period from '87-'96 is fascinating to me.

I gotta go with her hippy chick days of the 70s. Seemed to fade out after the Tusk tour. (LOL.. auto spell keeps trying to make "Tusk" into "Tush")

I think she looked quite hot on the Timespace tour in 91. She had lost some of the weight she put on from 89-90.

Stevie mixing it up w/ a short dress and heels-I was floored/impressed with this timeframe and outfit choice. Love it. Now the girl behind her with the color block coat, stirrup pants, and pointy kitten heels DO NOT MISS-PLEASE NEVER COME BACK IN STYLE!

So 2 months after that photo was taken, she appeared on the Arsenio Hall show with the straight hair and bangs? I guess the release of Nirvana's Nevermind in September '91 really did kill off big hair!

Same question but about a much prettier photo. I think it was included in the Enchanted boxset book, but I'm not sure it's originally from the Bella Donna or Wild Heart session. Does anyone know?

Yes you are correct. I cannot recall the magazine but it had the If Anyone Falls shoot with this and the Merry Go Round. Although most if not all of this microphone shots were cut from the video.
