I have this clip on an ancient fuzzy video tape. Correct me if I'm wrong (and I expect it) but I think this was a filmed and aired in Germany.

It's a very odd appearance for several reasons. Sans her band, it's just the three girls singing live to a backing track. Unfortunately, their unusually exposed vocals are terrible. Granted, this isn't their usual, ideal setting. Still, it is a bit cringe-worthy to watch and listen, yet a fascinating peek into the past.

I've laughed for 20 years over the moment where she tries to throw the bouquet into the audience, and it lands with a splat just a foot or two in front of her.

One of her best karaoke moments

I'm glad that she promoted TOSOTM in Europe. It probably did better overall there than here in the States. It's too bad she hasn't really been back since with a tour for a solo record. Were the press nasty to her or something?

Not at all.

In 1989, Fleetwood Mac were hot off the back of Tango In The Night, which was huge in the UK. It reached the #1 spot 3 times between 1987 and 1988 and carried 5 charting singles (Big Love, Seven Wonders, Little Lies, Family Man, Everywhere, Isn't It Midnight).

Stevie actually promoted OSOTM here with a whole TV special (with that wonderful piano solo version of 'Doing The Best I Can') and an apperance on Top Of The Pops, which at the time was the best way to get new music to the masses. As a result of the promotion and the still buzzing hype around Tango (which is also a big reason why 'Behind The Mask' topped the UK charts and 'Street Angel' was a top 20 hit with a top 20 single with no promotion), OSOTM went to #3 in the UK album charts.

Stevie has never promoted her solo work in the UK, aside from OSOTM and IYD. I'll never understand her relectuance to tour here. The crowd wents nuts for her at Hard Rock Calling in 2011 and the IYD signing had a big turn out of people. She was asked about touring the UK by a few people that day, but always seemed very reluctant. When one fan suggested it to her, she asked "oh, do you think I could sell out here?".

This was on a show called Rock Over Europe and was aired in The Netherlands. I met her after this and had my pic taken with her

Just for reference, here are Stevie's UK solo album chart positions:

Bella Donna - 11
The Wild Heart - 28
Rock A Little - 30
The Otherside of the Mirror - 3
Timespace - 15
Street Angel - 16
Trouble In Shangri-La - 43
In Your Dreams - 14

I couldn't find any chart info on Soundstage or Crystal Visions.

Bella Donna, Rock A Little, Mirror and Timespace are all certified Gold for sales of 100,000 copies. The Wild Heart and Street Angel are both certified Silver for sales of 60,000 copies.

I really liked that performance. There was no way she was lip singing. She sounded pretty much like on the album. Liked the acepella at the end. She looked great too!

How marvelous! And also very frustrating~with all this wonderful stuff out there, I wish someone would just hire vivfox to assemble an amazing collection of retrospective videos and songs and release them already.

I love the hair and entire outfit from head to toe. I think it is the first time I've seen the back-up singers apart, must be because no band members.

Were their any other songs performed from this performance?
