Default Real Housewife Meets Stevie

RHOBH’ star Carlton Gebbia dishes on another female crush

December 13, 2013, The Examiner
http://www.examiner.com/article/rhob...r-female-crush

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Carlton Gebbia may be married and have three children, but she has never hid her admiration for certain women. On the show, Brandi Glanville revealed that she had made out with Carlton, and Carlton has only spoken fondly of Brandi’s physical assets. And now, Carlton is revealing yet another female crush. According to a new Bravo report published on Dec. 12, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Carlton Gebbia is now revealing that she may have yet another girl crush.

Earlier this week, Carlton and her daughters, Mysteri and Destiny, got to meet Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks. The girls got to hang with Nicks backstage after a charity event in Los Angeles. And it sounds like Carlton’s girl-crush meter may have gone through the rough. "She is truly a legend and a class act," Carlton tells the Dish of meeting Stevie Nicks. "She made our night--God, this woman commands!"

Carlton did nothing but gush over her meeting with Nicks. "Stevie was so sweet with our girls as they told her how they loved her voice," she says. "She was just so genuine and accessible." And it isn’t just Carlton who has a crush on Nicks. Apparently, Carlton’s husband is only in agreement. "He had the biggest, cutest smile on his face when we met Stevie," she says. "Talk about teen love!”

What do you think of Carlton’s various girl crushes?

It's hard for me to believe Stevie would snub Sinatra's daughter. I'd expect her to chat her up about Frank and tell her about some song of the old man's that she loved. Also, you can't tell me that Stevie didn't get a kick out of "These Boots Were Made for Walking." Come on. Maybe Nancy misread her.

Are you ready boots? Start walking.

Yes, these real housewives are definitely the kind of people she needs to give the stinkeye to, instead.

Another reality show I never watch.

Imagine A FM reality show.I think all of us including me will be glued to the boob tube watching every second of it.

Maybe they can have Stevie do a cameo on that show too.

Yes, let them rent another house to record in and this time just put a webcam up and we could look at it 24 hours a day. We could take shifts and people on different continents could look at them our night, while we watched during their day. And we could tell each other about good parts that we missed.

Fleetwood Mac would have to be as interesting on webcam as the pandas are.

Why rent when Stevie has that massive house...Actually they could just record and stay there like Stevie did...Although Bucky would have to go home every night like Dave did (Industrial Disco anyone) and Christine could cook for everyone in Stevie's fabulous kitchen...You could even get footage of Mick in Stevie's hot tub like in the Tusk doc...

Reality shows are classless! Fleetwood Mac would never pander and stoop to that low level. I can't imagine any fan wanting to see them in that manner. They are musicians with talent and integrity, not reality "stars." I'm rather horrified that some fans think this would be a good thing. What the **** is happening to this world?

I'm unaware of the Nancy Sinatra incident. What was that all about?

Think of it FM could make it into a contest...People subscribe to the live feed (for a fee) and put together a documentary the band picks the winner...The doc will be put out on DVD and the winner receives a small royalty...

Wouldn't you like to watch FM record a new record in real time from the comfort of your home...

I don't want a reality show (which would be even more artificial than Destiny Rules). But I am all for a web cam, baby. No editing, no phony tension, just 24/7 FM action. That would never happen, but I can dream of how cool it would be. I'd be shocked, but I'd pull it up on my computer screen in a flash. We'd could have like 5 discussion threads. One would just describe all web cam events continuously and then we'd have another one for discussion. Maybe each Macster would have to have their own webcam thread.

There was no Nancy Sinatra incident. Nancy was just saying that her daughter produced something for her and in the production of whatever it was she finally got some respect when people saw her, because in the past people didn't take her seriously and brushed her off, like she wasn't a true singer or something and she named Stevie as an example of the kind of people who did that. Eh. Maybe it wasn't even the real Stevie that Nancy was talking about. Maybe Stevie was just a rock star arch type who held Nancy in disdain for saying somethin' stupid like I love you.

This is what Nancy said:

Quote:
The self-titled album was a revelation to me. My daughter A. J. pulled that together. I used to always complain that musicians hate me. I was talking about my peers. I would meet someone like Stevie Nicks, and she wouldn’t give me the cold shoulder, exactly, but she wasn’t friendly. With people like Stevie Nicks — the in crowd, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame crowd — I’m like Rodney Dangerfield: I got no respect from them. A. J. said, “Mom, you don’t get it. You’re talking to the wrong musicians.” And she pulled in Sonic Youth, Jon Spencer, Pete Yorn, Calexico. Morrissey I already knew.
