Patrice Chereau, R.I.P.
Don't know if there are any other admirers of Patrice Chereau, best known as an opera director, but also a filmmaker. CityArts did a series of pieces on him for his untimely death at age 68 from lung cancer on October 7. They included a piece I wrote in 2004.
Thought it might be of interest for those who loved Patrice Chereau (who I had the honor of meeting twice). DEFEATING DEATH - The Patrice Chereau triptych 1) Patrice Chereau, RIP by Binx Bolling 2) A Dream Bestirred Those Who Love Me Can Take the Train (1999) by Armond White 3) The Least Gnostic Movie Ever Made Son frere (2004) by John Demetry
