Default My vacation...

I just went to Gatlinburg Tennesse and had a blast and now, I just feel so depressed, realizing that the fantasy is over and nothing has changed... How I wish there was god out there that would give me and my siblings some kind of break from our predictable livessss... hmmm, really feeeling down..

Playing Skinny Love over and over again....

I used to live about an hour and a half from the Appalachians in North Carolina. This meant after a stressful work week that I could hop in the car, and go get lost in them... drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, go eat in Asheville, climb waterfalls, etc. It's one of the few things I miss about the Carolinas!

Sorry you have post vacation blues. I haven't been on an actual vacation since 2009... I just wish I were able to have post vacation blues!

I went to Gatlinburg during the last weekend in June (28th through 30th). It is an interesting place! That was my second time going there. The first time was back in Dec. of 2000.

I am sorry that you are feeling so down. I guess most of us have predictable lives where it seems like we do the same things over and over again.

I love Gatlinburg, TN . When I was little our family would always go through Gatlinburg on our way to GA to see my dad's relatives (this was in the 1970's through 80's). It was always so much fun. I got to go when I got older to in the fall when the leaves change and its even more beautiful (and not so hot --we used to go there for part of our summer vacation). I love it there. I wish I could live there someday. It is beautiful and all the people are so pleasant. So I do understand how you feel its always sad when a vacation is over and its back to the real world , work etc. I guess just try and think of a time when you can go back there. Or when your down think of the wonderful times you had there. It does help!!

It's really hard I basically packed all my stuff and just took off for vacation ended up in Gatlinburg I had probably the best vacation of my life there

I went to the top of the smoky mountains and to the bottom of the smoky mountains I saw two bears I went hiking I went to the aquarium I want to the dolly world I went on the ski left I spent tons of money maxed all my credit cards and have the time of my life by myself and then I had to come back to the **** hole.

It was 13 years since my last vacation

Thanks for your understanding. I wonder if I ever have another vacation

I'm just really sad I just don't think that my family is having an easy time of it.I just I don't now I just like I said I wonder if I ever have another vacation

I'm 44 I think I'm having a big midlife crisis my first one

I am sorry to hear that things are so hard for you and your family right now. If you need someone to talk to, you can PM me. I can't say I'll have all the answers, but I will listen.
