Default My Mother's Ring

I just saw a comment on http://nickslive.blogspot.com/ about a new Stevie song called 'My Mother's Ring'. Fact or fiction? With this along with the other 8-9 songs, don't they have enough for an album already? (Especially is Christine submitted a song or two since she's been in the U.S.) Thoughts?

When I saw her speak after the IYD screening at the Mill Valley film festival last year she mentioned that she had given Dave Stewart a song she had just written called "My Mother's Rings" regarding the passing of her mother. At that point the song seemed intended for a new solo album with Dave again producing.

It could someday see the light of day, or it could end up in the same bin as "We Get Back on the Plane" (or whatever that other post-9/11 song was called that she spoke/wrote about) and all the other songs she's mentioned over the years.

I wonder if any of these are really songs,or simply poems that she's hoping someone like Dave will help her set to music... that seems likely to take a lot longer

Awww... that's really sweet. I hope we get to hear it soon. My own mother's ring is the closest thing to my heart, next to my poochie.

Well Chris was down for a while, what?... A few weeks? So some recording could have gone on... I would like to think so. You never know with FM! They don't tell us anything :P I'm so damn excited to hear the new songs for the tour. Maybe if they follow through with doing another album we'll get to hear it on there. But based on the title, I think it would be more of a Stevie song. No offence Linds, but I think she would take caution to him "overdoing" a song that sounds like it has a very deep meaning. Something he can't touch, because it hurts too much

Well, she said she had given the song to Dave Stewart, didn't she?
