They all have something to love about them, but obviously some are better than others.

"Rooms On Fire" will always be my personal favorite, followed by "I Can't Wait".

"SDMHA" gets the award for worst lip synching (even though there are a lot of contenders!).

The TISL videos were the best produced, even though they weren't in her heyday, so to speak.

Even though it's obvious they're all culled from the same tapes, I still love the IYD clips. If for no other reason than who'd have thought Stevie would release so many videos for an album at this stage in her career??

You so reminder me of my Music Appretiation Instructor right now. But I love it, thx for the new threads and welcome to the board.

My fave is probably SIAB, although it is an unpopular song among most fans. there are many I like for imagery purposes. ROF, BD, Everyday, FWIW, etc. Hell, I want to see an extended version of Annabel Lee!

I really do enjoy If You Ever Did Believe.

I like Sorceror video, although I dislike the song (esp. when Stevie sings it live).

I Can't Wait is her worst video to me. Although I love watching her, the white wings she has on during the first chorus are dreadful. Mick Fleetwood's appearance makes no sense. And the editing is weird where they cut to Stevie's face when she's not singing and the pull away when she is. Plus the choreography is too much like Talk To Me.

If Anyone Falls is personally beautiful to me but I think the ballet stuff took away from her Rock N Roll credibility and this was the start of her decline (image-wise) albeit very slight at first.

Whole Lotta Trouble - At the time she didn't really have any concert videos specifically made for a song -Edge of Seventeen wasn't released as an actual video to the song - so it worked for me but I could tell she was zoned out and her frizzy hair along with the less fluidity she was having with her body made it a disappointment.

Blue Denim - she seemed to have more energy but that was the worst hair ever and I couldn't understand why she didn't properly promote the album with a video first for Maybe Love Will Change Her Mind.

Rooms On Fire was visually and story-wise awesome to see but compared with the energy she exhibited in I Can't Wait, this was a huge letdown and my brother joke she used to be on drugs but now she was on "medication". Little did he know how right he actually was.

So the videos that seemed to capture that true spirit of Stevie along with a cool video for the songs are mostly her later ones from TISL and IYD and If You Ever Did Believe. The exception to this would be Stand Back. It was a very 80's video to a very 80's song and she looked great, had great energy, and the video was stunning.

I hadn't seen the ones with the commentaries before - thanks for that! I really like the Moonlight video because it is just so Stevie.

You're right here. I feel like the "Talk To Me" and "I Can't Wait" videos were shot back to back on the same soundstage. If I remember correctly, I don't think the "Talk To Me" video was released until the single was already peaking in the Top 5 of the charts. It feels to me like they just rushed and shot the "I Can't Wait" video since they just happened to be assembled on a soundstage. No thought went into it. I can just hear it. "OK, folks, since we're here, lets just shoot another video.....uh, hmmm, how can we make this different....let's see, Mick's not busy, yeah, let's call Mick and have him dance around......"

Talk To Me will always be my favorite video. In the close-up clips in the red outfit she looks so gorgeous. My mom is obsessed with Stevie and played that video again and again when I was little, and I thought she was just so pretty.
SDMHA's lip synching is horrendous. If Anyone Falls kinda bores me, but it's visually pretty and I love the song.
Lip synching in Stand Back is pretty awful too. And I don't understand why she lip synchs the "stand back, stand back" back-up singing at the end when it's obviously not her part and not her voice.
Gotta say, I love Rooms on Fire vid. Stevie is adorable with the red streaks and a little meat on her bones. **klonosexy**
I Can't Wait is awful. Period. The ridiculous dancing and Mick being there and the whole thing is just really cheesy 80's blah.
I love Blue Denim and SIAB videos too. I find 90s Stevie completely adorable despite popular opinion lol.
WLT, song or video for that matter, never did anything for me. Boring.
Everyday and Sorcerer are awesome. TISL era Stevie was gorgeous and the videos are beautifully made.
As for the IYD videos, I love FWIW. Stevie looks adorable and the whole video is just warm and fun. Moonlight is very Stevie-ish and very cool. I don't like Secret Love, partly because the song itself is just awful to me. I'm too used to her fresh, beautiful sound on the demo. And the new vocals are a little to nails-on-a-chalkboard for me. And the video's a little cheesy and badly done IMO. Cheaper Than Free is absolutely a horrible song, but the video is fun and cute and shows a cool side of Stevie.

Every Day is my favourite Stevie video ever, it's just so Stevie. The faerie tale, the forest, the gorgeous dresses...

Honestly, I've always found the "If Anyone Falls" video really cheesy. Just the whole thing.
Everyone says the Scarlet version of "Stand Back" is really bad, but I actually like it better than the video she released, it's just so '80s and it wasn't really "Stevie" at all. We all know what she loved, and the Scarlet version really shows that.

- Thoughts: Stevie looked amazing on Rooms on Fire, but I think my fav video is If Anyone Falls. The ballet moves are good, and I love the appereances of Lori, Sandy and Sharon (Sharonnnnnn!!!!! ), the organ (I think it's an harmonium) and the "monk Mick" too!
Rooms on Fire is an amazing song, and as I said before, it's one of my favs. Stevie looks amazing in red!!! The video of Edge of Seventeen is too weird, the quality made Stevie's eyes bigger and bigger!!!! And I don't know why it was not remastered, but this is another topic...
Talk to Me and I Can't Wait are very repetitive...big stairs, big hairstyles...but she's great. I love her make up!

- Favourites: If Anyone Falls, Rooms on Fire, Talk to Me, Stand Back (Scarlett version).

- Favourite scenes: Sharon (!!) and Lori in the Scarlett version of Stand Back, the old scenes on Sometimes it's a bitch (even when I don't like the song at all), the lipstick on Sorcerer (hehehe), the gosts, the little owl and Dave Stewart dancing on Moonlight!

- Best: If Anyone Falls.

- Worst: Blue Denim, I Can't Wait or Whole Lotta Trouble.

Regards!

Correct me if I'm wrong .I remember in a interview when Stevie said she did not like the Edge video.

I wish it made the CV DVD collection like the civil war Standback.

I like the Edge video plus the live version.

Even though it's technically Fleetwood Mac, Gypsy seems to be the quintessential Stevie video, ever, for me. But it we have to go strictly solo, it's a little harder to pick, but I guess I'd say If Anyone Falls. The only part I don't like is when she is in the black dress singing to the camera, and it's like she is trying to dance but with her feet mounted in dried cement (I'm guessing she was wearing really high heels or something?). The people filming and directing should have told her - "either stand still, or actually move your feet because it looks weird." But otherwise, I love, love, love that video. It's whimsical, like her.

I love SDMHA because I LOVE her dress, lol. But for the bad lip-syncing, it always is a pet peeve of mine (not just in Stevie videos, but all videos) when that happens. Whoever edits these videos has plenty of footage to use, so if there is a bad lip sync moment, why not use a different piece of footage in those few seconds of the video? It drives me crazy.

i. can'.wait.: nothing beats coked up wild 80's stevie. She is just totally flying in that video, it may be cheesy but it sure is entertaining (just ask david letterman).

I thought Letterman just liked the I Can't Wait video because her boobs were kinda hanging out there.... he always showed that clip where she's bent over and bouncing around and was being kind of a frat boy about it. Not sure he really cares about the song....
