lately there seems to be a moat at most venues and shows i've been to, especially when younger bands are playing. Springsteen and some of the other older bands seem to have a different stage setup, or they pay for the removal of the moat if venue normally has it.
many here have been to tons of Mac shows - were there any shows (other than infamous NZ water moat that obviously couldn't be moved ) with a moat, or you could always lean straight on the stage?

I haven't encountered a moat. But aside from the occasional Philly or Illinois, I mostly have attended shows on the west coast.

I've always leaned on the stage at Stevie and FM shows. They want their fans to be close up.
