Default Wild Heart cover

This was well performed. This is sort of the version of Stevie and the girls singing The Wild Heart ( the makeup version)

That was beautiful. It's funny that they credit Stevie and Sandy Stewart but they should also credit Lindsey since they are actually playing the music from Can't Go Back.

I tried doing a mashup once with Can't Go Back and that version of Wild Heart but the difference in audio quality just made it sound horrible.

They sound great, but I must say that I am tired of people covering this version of Wild Heart. The whole back stage moment is what makes that moment so spectacular and only Stevie could deliver such a breath taking performance. Bands cover this version and they sound great, but it isn't anywhere near as amazing as Stevie's and they don't change anything to reinterpret the song. Idk, I would just much rather hear a band take on the studio version and have an amazing performance of that rather than try to recreate what Stevie already did.

You are right about the music of Can't Go Back
I like the little picture of Stevie spinning to the music next to your screen name Undoing The Laces goes well when I watch the video.

Not to mention that this represents such an impoverished set of the full final lyrics of the song. In a radio interview in Boston at the time Stevie stated that she wrote the chorus to Wild Heart at one point in time (which is what you see on the video of her backstage basically) and then the lyrics at another time. The story in the whole, finished song is so much more dramatic than this little snippet of the final song.

Huh!? Sandy Stewart should not be credited at all! Stevie wrote this "demo" over Lindsey's music to Can't Go Back", finishing the entire song on her own to the best of all our knowledge.

These cover bands are obviously inspired by the passion displayed during Stevie's photo session (backstage) performance, but are really missing out on the epic "Wild Heart" song as a whole.

is a great word to describe Wild Heart.... i was 12-13 yo when it came out.... "fire on fire, rain on my face, fever goes higher...." just amazing , evocative lyrics and such a SURGING musical backdrop.. i am not sure i like the minimal copies of her backstage sing along... of course ANY love Stevie gets in the new generation is good. i WISH that her singing it had been properly recorded, but maybe that's why it's so special.. just an off moment of Stevie st the height of her powers.
too many martinis.. excuse my rambling.
