Default Usps

I never had a problem with USPS losing packages before.

Ok I think USPS lost my package.I send out two first class packages the 24th monday afternoon. One going to Philly PA.The other to Chicago. The Chicago package got to Chicago yesterday according to the USPS website.According to the USPS tracking page The Philly package has no updates since the 25th as it left the local post office.I did call the 1-800 number yesterday and talk to the person and try to find out what is the problem. She said that the delivery confirmation dont get scanned at every stop on the way.I called again today the person said if the package does not update and arrive tomorrow they will put out a search for it.

Had anybody go through this problem. Please share.

I'd really start to worry if 2 weeks go by. It's not been that much time and if it only went 1st class I think those packages to tend to "sit around" (ie. they don't get Priority) see what I did there?

I ship alot of packages during the year with USPS with various ebay sales. Many times the person has received the item without any updates on the tracking. I'd give it a few more days to see if it shows up or is returned to you. The real funny thing to me is I'll ship cross country and the person will get it in 2-3 days, other times I'll ship to a city within my own state and it takes a week to arrive. Strange but it happens. Hope your situation turns out well.

Thanks.I just remember I had a problem back in 2011 when Ticketmaster send me the tickets for Stevie's Heart and Soul show here in CT that March. They send them out and I never receive them .Weeks went by and getting closer to the show date.I got hold of TM and they said they will send a new set of tickets out and they will cancel those tix that got lost in the mail.I got to new batch about a week before the show.

Hum I wonder what happen to them.

Seems like all the junk mail never gets lost and fills up my rubbish bucket every week.

Hey Macman, you know I never had a whole lot of issues with USPS whilst in America... I've not been there in about 4 years now though, so I don't know if the quality of service has lessened. I had something shipped via DHL (or maybe FedEx) when I was in Florida and I was home when the guy delivered it. I actually heard him set it outside of my front door (or maybe he dropped it) because it sounded like glass crunching. I went to the door and he had already hoofed it to the truck and was away. The package looked like the one Jim Carrey was holding in Ace Ventura (when the elevator was slamming on it) haha...

I quility is going downhill.Big job cutbacks.Post office closings.Cut hours at post offices. In the meantime they jackup the rates every year to take care of whats left of the workers and their benefits..I have a couple of freinds that work for USPS if you get a job when you are at a young age and retire at 50 or 55.That what I should did.

They should jack up the bulk junkmail rates.

I don't know why they go nuts there .I never hear about any milkman shooting up co-workers at the warehouse.

Also they have now have more competion with internet emailings ,UPS,Fedex and other services.

I've work at a few mail fulfillment companies over the years that send out goods like catalogs, videos and other stuff. One company that I worked at had Publishers Clearing House as a client. We've send out millions of packages a year there.

I'm usually not a bitter, vindictive, f*ck...but I'm trying to get my carrier FIRED. Stupid bitch SUCKS! I constantly get my neighbor's mail, and they get mine. So, I lost a wheel cover off of my car, a couple months ago. Ordered a full set(since I'd already lost one before, and they're cheap enough on eBay, for a set of 4). Waited, and waited, and f*cking waited,.....like 6 weeks. My moronic carrier had left it at the Post Office. It was set to be delivered, but she forgot.....AGAIN,....to do her job. I had to drive 8 miles each way, and stand in line for 30 minutes, to get the package that SHE was supposed to deliver to me. I called the Postmaster, and said, "you know, I know you're downsizing, and I'd hate to see a GOOD worker lose their job, over someone who constantly f*cks up". He agreed, and said they've had several complaints against my carrier.

OMG I would have been in such a panicked state of mind if my tickets didn't arrive. I never would have thought to call TM and complain though. Who would have thunk that they would be kind enough to issue two more tickets?

From the islands you see Legali and Capri. I remember it all. You just had to (violins playing)faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

I was starting to get alittle upset with delay.I had to make a move on finding out what happen with the tix.IF it was any sooner .I would have request TM to send them to the Will-Call window at the venue.I notice that Walmart has TM windows in its electronics dept.

I work for USPS as a carrier and the service is going down. I know at my office the scans are a big issue. If you are mailing something make sure it says delivery confirmation, if you simple have a vs label we will not scan it because they don't want to pay us for them. The delay in mailing happens every September and February because as carrier we have evaluated pay. So this is when they hide the mail. I was delivering Mail dated september 20th this Tuesday so. It's not fair and we just had the count that ended October first and a lot of routes are being cut.

My advice is if you use the post office and your package is lost or mailing anything important, make sure you have he correct bar code and complain like hell to he customer service. They put a lot of pressure on management to find that mail. The problem is the high okoume of management and lack of qualifications they have to run an office. A lot of the postmasters are friends of friends and do nothing but Stare t a screen all day and whine. They get paid on obscene salaries and complain when the carriers who have to work 12 hour days to make them look good.

Thank you for the info.Yes I understand you the carrier does all the leg work through snow, sleet, cold, hot days, dogs, long hours and idiot car drivers cutting of the mail truck. You guys do earn your pay.

Probably the junk mail is keeping you guys in business besides package delivery service.

The internet has stole business from USPS for people that pay bills and other mail related stuff.

I used to work for outfits that send out bulk mail and junk mail.I still have old copy of the DMM "Domestic Mail Manual from one of those old jobs.I use it for info all the time.

I should of update this thread awhile ago about both packages got to their locations safely and I got my refunds from the sellers quickly.

on my route know not to place someone else's mail in my mailbox/vice versa, because I have family members who were postal workers - and I learned how to make their lives hell if they FUBAR the daily deliveries, LOL!!!
