For those of you who aren't familiar with The Trevor Project they are one of the most important organizations out there dealing with suicide prevention in GLBT youth. They are kicking off National Suicide Prevention Month with their new campaign "Talk To Me". The idea is that you make a pledge to let people know that you are there for them to talk to if they are contemplating suicide and feel they have nowhere to go. Suicide hotlines are a great idea but at the same time people need to know there are others like them who might be able to talk to them. Here is the link: www.TrevorTalkToMe.org.
I know Stevie didn't write the song and I don't even know if the campaign has anything to do with it at all but when I saw this I immediately thought of Stevie. And even if the two have no connection I can't help but think that Stevie would be flattered knowing what good the title of her song will be doing in this very important project. |

I think that is an excellent idea
I'm sure Stevie would feel so special being associated with something this important that could help so many people |
