Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere:

Fleetwood Mac's 'Gold Dust Woman' Covered By Karen Elson

Karen Elson's cover of "Gold Dust Woman" from the upcoming Fleetwood Mac tribute, Just Tell Me What You Want, has been released exclusively through Entertainment Weekly's website. Elson, model and former wife of Jack White, who appeared in the White Stripes video for "Blue Orchid," released her first album, The Ghost Who Walks, in 2010. Just Tell Me What You Want is due August 14.

Here's a link: http://music-mix.ew.com/2012/07/02/k...ld-dust-woman/

I pretty much love this version of the song. It's an interesting take but not too far from the original.

Well I liked her voice very much and wouldn't mind hearing some original music from her, but this version of GDW didn't really do anything for me. My whole take on doing covers is if your going to cover someone else's already famous song do something with it. Case in point Best Coast doing Rhiannon. They completely morphed that song into something completely different. Now grant you after reading all the comments on that website noone really liked it. But I did because it was completely different. I am really wanting to hear Straight Back. I don't think I have ever heard anyone cover that song.

It's a good cover. Infact, everything I have heard from that album has been good. Can't wait to get it.
