I can finally seem to burn cd's again, so want to make a copy or two of my cd for in the car, etc. and I wanted to switch the songs around a bit. I was wondering if anyone else had re-done the song order for themselves, and if so, what order did you do the songs in? I know this is so late after this cd came out, lol, but I just was having trouble with my computer burning for the longest time.
I am leaving out Soldiers Angel. I like it, but it's not a favorite, and I don't like the dark, starkness and "alarming" sound of it in the middle of this cd. I also debating on using the demo for My Heart (although the more I listen to the IYD version, I do like it). So far what I am thinking of is: In Your Dreams For What it's Worth Wide Sargasso Sea Everybody Loves You My Heart You May Be the One Moonlight Annabel Lee Secret Love New Orleans Ghosts are Gone Cheaper than Free Italian Summer But I am curious what other people might have done for a nice flow to the cd, and if you left any songs out or added any? |

Well, I haven't really re-sequenced In Your Dreams, but I have to skip a few songs when I play it on my iPod. I usually have to skip New Orleans, Annabel Lee, Everybody Loves You, & Italian Summer. Everything else I can play except maybe sometimes Secret Love since everytime I saw Stevie on TV, she was doing this song & I sort of got sick of it.

I re-did it to a 9 song more concise album.
1. Moonlight 2. For What It's Worth 3. In Your Dreams 4. Wide Sargasso Sea 5. New Orleans 6. Soldier's Angel 7. Ghosts Are Gone 8. You May Be the One 9. Italian Summer As far as reconfiguring the original album...no. Cause there are songs I just don't like I know i cut out some favs...but.....I don't care![]() Mick

Haha...I thought I was the only one that did that. Listened to the her CD's and think.........you know this song would flow much better in this order...?
Here is my version of the sequencing: 01-Annabel Lee 02-My Heart 03-Secret Love 04-Everybody Loves You 05-Moonlight 06-New Orleans 07-Wide Sargasso Sea 08-In Your Dreams 09-Ghosts Are Gone 10-Cheaper Than Free 11-You May Be The One 12-Italian Summer 13-Soldiers Angel 14-For What It's Worth But personally, I think Soldiers Angel should have been left off...and maybe used in some other fashion.

Nah, it's a pretty good sequence. The only thing I'd change would be to swap YMBTO and Ghosts Are Gone and drop Cheaper Than Free, so then it ends like every other Stevie album, a big rock song and then the ballad. YMBTO-Italian Summer-Cheaper Than Free drags a little bit imo.

"Secret Love" was banished from my copy of "IYD" before the album was ever released...
As I have a digital recorder program I use for transferring my LP's I made a bootleg from the Rolling Stone IYD link where you could listen before IYD was officially released...And yes I bought multiple copies when it was released... "For What It's Worth" with the first 18 seconds edited out is now the 1st track... "My Heart" which currently now sits between "New Orleans" and "Moonlight" takes the place of "Secret Love" Other than banishing "Secret Love" (Sorry I just don't like it) editing FWIW and adding "My Heart" it remains as Mama intended... 1) For What it's Worth (Edited) 2) In Your Dreams 3) Wide Sargasso Sea 4) New Orleans 5) My Heart 6) Moonlight 7) Annabel Lee 8) Soldiers Angel 9) Everybody Loves You 10) Ghosts Are Gone 11) You May Be The One 12) Italian Summer 13) Cheaper Than Free If John ever leaves the band Mick will change the name of the band from Fleetwood Mac to Fleetwood Mick... I think the track order on IYD is fine the way it is. The Wild Heart and Street Angel are the only albums I disliked enough as-is to mess with the track order.

Sean's In Your Dreams Deluxe Mix:
Moonlight (A Vampire's Dream) For What It's Worth In Your Dreams Wide Sargasso Sea New Orleans Annabel Lee Soldier's Angel Ghosts Are Gone Secret Love Everybody Loves You Not Fade Away (Buddy Holly Tribute) Stevie Baby (Blackbird Diaries) Cheaper Than Free My Heart You May Be The One Italian Summer Call On Me For Magic (Recorded around 2000) It's a magical album, and I love it so. 'Call On Me For Magic' is a perfect final song. It was posted here on The Ledge sometime, I believe, in 2010. Love this sequence!!! |

I think the opening track should be In Your Dreams.

I like everyone's different versions. I tried picturing it as I read the different order of songs everyone has.
I thought of putting IYD first because I used to like how with BD and WH, they each opened with the songs of the same name. I used to like that and it seemed to work well with those albums. I would like to make my own version of OSOTM and SA someday. Adding some demos and deleting a few songs off them. I am just not sure yet what demos I have in the best sound quality that would work. Like for example, I think SA would be great if it ended with She Still Loves Him, but not sure my demo is good enough quality. I am not even sure if I still have it on my computer or on old cassette tape. It is fun to sort of remake a cd and use her demos too. Has anyone every created your own personal cd using ALL demos? If so, did you just pick your favorites, or did you try and use demos that were written within a similar time period? |
