Default Stevie's image and Herbert Worthington

Looking through all the early FM pics of Stevie, most of which were taken by Herbie Worthington, it's evident how much of her image is crafted by him or by her with him. He took amazing photos that showed off her beauty and magic on and off stage. I've read in the past how she cultivated her relationship with him and really worked with him after seeing how great many of his pics of her were to learn how she wanted to be photographed and lit for photo shoots, what angles worked best for her and so on. So many of the classic, iconic, enduring images of Stevie were taken by Herbie and she smartly used their relationship to learn how to control and document the visual image she wanted.

Did Herbert and Stevie have a disagreement? Is that why there hasn't been a book? I hear he wants to do one but needs her approval? Come on Stevie! I think Herbert is the only one who could do a Stevie Nicks coffee table book justice. No one has the wealth of pictures and outtakes that he has.

The time for a Stevie Nicks coffee table book has come & gone IMO. Stevie & Herbie should have stricken while the iron was still hot during 83'-ish till the mid 80's when there would have been more mainstream demand. Hell, Herbie hasn't even photographed Stevie since the late 80's. I believe his last Stevie album photographs were for OSOTM if I'm not mistaken, and that essentially was the end of an era. I do believe they had a bit of a falling out over drugs, and he became a bit of a hanger oner. But somehow almost 2 decades later Stevie agreed to let him peddle his calendars of outtakes in 07', 08' & 09', along with some posters & t-shirts and then mysteriously stopped. I'm sure some of that arose out of Stevie using his old "Tusk" era photographs & others for her "Crystal Visions" project.

I do agree that Herbie did capture THE Stevie Nicks iconic phase. Together they weaved bewitching and enigmatic impressions that endure & still dictate Stevie's carefully crafted image today regardless of who photographs her now.

He photographed several promo's for Street Angel, not sure about anything after that.
