Fans Encouraged To Submit Videos For Stevie Nicks Documentary

The producers behind a new Stevie Nicks documentary are reaching out to fans for the participation in the film. The doc will give a behind the scenes look at Stevie's most recent record, In Your Dreams. In an open letter to fans, the production crew says that a few fan testimonials will put the finishing touches on the project: "We here at Weapons of Mass Entertainment have realized we need another element to add into the movie, and that element is You!!"

In an open letter to fans, the production crew says that a few fan testimonials will put the finishing touches on the project:

"We here at Weapons of Mass Entertainment have realized we need another element to add into the movie, and that element is You!! We are looking for short video clips to add into the film from Stevie's fans themselves."

"On your webcams (or any other desired video recording medium), we would love if you would record yourselves telling Stevie what she and/or this record might mean to you. More than likely, she will see these, so feel free to speak as directly as you wish."

Doesn't say where to send the video clips though.

while i love the fact that Stevie wants to include us fans...and that is a very special thing........ i'm pretty sure that i'm the only one who would rather it all be just her.... to me, 1 - 5 minutes of us babbling takes away from 1 - 5 minutes of Stevie?

I'd be careful about this...I don't know that this has Stevie's backing at all, and could just as easily turn out to be some exploitive joke, like "Trekkies."

Lest you think that I am paranoid, a couple of years ago a filmmaker put out the same type of announcement for a Kate Bush tribute. What he produced instead was a mean-spirited mockumentary about what nutters and freaks all her fans must be.

If you do submit to this...don't wear shawls. Don't have candles lit all around you. Don't spin.

didnt someone ask Dave Stewart about her recording a new album for her Mom to be released this summer, and DS responed "yes. and more"
i assumed he meant the dvd would finally get released this summer???
my question is ...what is the cut off date to send submissions??
not that i prob will just curious

The question was whether there would be a new album, and he said "more than an album." So it could be interpreted either way, I think.

aah ok, i guess i couldnt remember exactly what he said. just the way i took it i guess.
