Christmas Miracle that Happened to me Today

Today while at awork I recieved a frantic phone call that my mom and dad's house was robbed last night while they slept. The brazen theives stole virtually all the gifts under the tree and the TV and other assorted electronic stuff. They also took my Dad's Truck.

They kicked in thewood frame around the back door of the house and the door to the shed where the truck was parked. My parents both have trouble sleeping but due to the excitement of Christmas had made sure they would get some sleep last night.

When they awoke the house was freezing and they found that they had been robbed.

Well thr outpouring of support from friends and family were overwelming and then out of nowhere the local police came to to the house this afternoon and brought presents for my neices and nephews. They ahd been here in the morning to assess the damage etc but one of them came back with several others to deliver the massive amount of presents.There were allot. Needlees to say we have had a wonderful Christmas. I am attaching a link to the article in the local paper. There are some mistakes the most noticable being that we don't have 10 Grankids in my family like they say.

It truly is heartwarming to know that there is still good people out there.

Sweet story. Someone stole stuff out of my yard yesterday so I can almost relate to your horror. How did your parents manage to sleep through getting their door kicked in, especially when they are light sleepers?

My Dad has sleep apnea so he had his machine on and my mom had taken half of a sleeping pill. She says she thought she heard doors opening but assumed that the neighbour's son was having another wild party as almost every night there is one. I am glad she didn't leave the bedroom because who knows what could have happened.

Awww, that is awful. I hate to hear those stories & I'm hearing more & more of them. Glad no one was hurt & everything turned out OK.
