Default Any Bangles fans?

Seeing the topic "Any Hoff fans" I thought it was about Susanna Hoffs from The Bangles (and there were others who thought exactly the same way). Anyway, I decided to put a thread concerning this all female band, that back in the 80's embodied something that was known in the 90's as a "girl power". I own "Greatest Hits", "Everything" and "Different Light" by The Bangles as well as Susanna's "When You're a Boy". "Everything" is my favourite album of theirs, so many memorable songs...But also I do love "When You're a Boy" (exept for the title track, which always belongs to David Bowie and no one else can touch it). Susanna has always got the sexiest voice in the group and her solo album had more than few shining moments (like "My Side of The Bed", "Something New" and "Wishing on Telestar"). I've always thought that The Bangles are way too underrated. Everybody thinks of them as the lightweight performers who were walking like egyptian Well, for me there were always better songs to listen to like "The Following" or "I'll Set You Free". I heard they've just released new album

For me, before there was Stevie, there was Susanna. I absolutely worshipped the Bangles through my childhood and tween years.

I just saw them live a few weeks ago. Fantastic show! And the new album is terrific. I recommend "Anna Lee," "Under a Cloud," and "I'll Never Be Through With You." It's all very classic Bangles.

Thumbs up

You must have missed the thread "Bangles or Go-Go's" not too long ago.

Yeah, I saw them on DWTS on Monday. I was surprised; had no idea that they were going to be on. They always sound & look good. I saw them a few years ago live in a small bar not too far from where I live. I was right there in front. It was a great show. I even recorded "Walk Like an Eqyptian" with my camera. It was just the three of them, but I was so glad I went to see them. I just got their new CD, Sweetheart of The Sun, which I like.

I guess, I'll have to wait for the Polish release of their new album (I hope it will happen soon). From what I've read this must be very decent album. Their previous effort-"Dolls Revolution" wasn't that great (even if it contained few memorable songs).

I'm a big fan of The Bangles. I was pleasantly surprised that they recently came out with a new album. They are good musicians, and their vocal harmonies are great. I have all their albums, but I've never seen them live. I really love the two Under The Covers albums Susanna Hoffs did with Mathew Sweet. They contain really nice covers of songs from various eras.

I love the Under The Covers series. I have both (and the extended vol. 2).
The new Bangles album is actually quite good and the harmonies soar.
