Which Song are These Words from?

[Morgana]

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to send a friend of mine the song that went with the words in my signature:

If you do not run the race you cannot win it EVER! If you do not run the race how will you know

She is running a marathon race and when I looked in my song files I had forgotten the name. I remember saving the song from one of the posts on here. I did a search on here and I'm not getting lucky. Does anyone know the song? Thanks so much in advance dear Ledgies!

It's titled SOMETHING EXQUISITE

My favorite line from the song: Brilliant is your color baby.

If You Don't Run The Race (Something Exquisite)

Stevie Nicks Demo

I knew that I had come face to face
With a stranger
With someone that I knew was
Crazier than you were

But
If you do not run the race
How will you know if you do not run it
Then you cannot win it...ever
If you do not run the race
Then you cannot win it, ever
How will you know

The passenger takes a train
He cannot get off
The train keeps on for days
Well, it isn't enough
It isn't enough
It isn't enough

If you do not run the race
Then you cannot win it...ever
How will you know
(if you can do it)
If you do not run it
If you do not run the race
How will you know
If you do not run it

And each time thinking
Will this be the one?
Great eyes looking down
And your ways
Well, I want to learn them
I want my life...to concern him
Still on the edge of
Something exquisite
Ooooh

Ten minutes,
Standing in the room with you
She feels a strange misgiving
If you do not run the race
Then you cannot win it

In the dim light of her rooms
She feels a strange misgiving
Well, I knew that I had come
Face to face...with a stranger
Someone who was
Crazier than I was
But if you do not run the race...
How will you know
If you do not run it

Well, the passenger takes the train
And he cannot get off
Races are run
Oooh

Ten minutes,
Standing in the room with you
I felt a strange misgiving
Well, in the dim light of my room
Still on the edge of
Something exquisite

Sorrow
Brilliant is your color, baby
Brilliant is your something exquisite
Sorrow
I know the sounds of a warning
On the wind
It's a strange misgiving
