Default Australian interview with Stevie (Sunday Night)

For Aussie ledgies, there is a story on Stevie coming up on Channel 7's Sunday Night program. Some info and photos are already up on the website, but I expect a video and/or interview transcript will be up after the program has aired.

The blog the reporter wrote about his experience with Stevie is very nice. I wasn't familiar with the bullet hole in the piano.

Never fear!

Some of the same ol' same ol', but also some interesting bits. Always love to see Stevie at the piano And love her immediately denying responsibility for the medieval marquee - "well that's English"

absolutely awesome interview but they r never long enuff. not long finished watching it here in western australia - it was about 8 minutes long. she looked - as always - stunningly beautiful and we got 2 c a lot of her house particularly outside. she sang rhiannon and moonlight at the piano and there was a snippet of the moonlight video which i dont remember from the iyd promo but it was probably in that. also sang the first several lines of that first song she ever wrote when she was 15 or 16 or whatever just sitting in her chair - 'ive loved and ive losted and im sad but not blue' thru 2 'it was easy 2 see'. the interviewer asked her about her voice and she said that she likes it and the fact that she sounds like no1 else. when asked how she would describe it she said she thought she soudned like a gnome!!!! described her house as being like a big english cottage - its very green. she said that her memory was like a steel trap so she has many memories 2 draw from 4 her songwriting. the rest was mostly about drugs and the usual - didnt talk about dave and making in your dreams that i can remember which i think is suprising........need 2 go watch it again. the interviewer listed the backstage requests from the rumours tour here and when he said limes she thought he said lions and she said 'lions? YES'. also said the medieval marquee was english and therefor not her fault

there were the usual clips from the 70s of rhiannon go your own way and maybe dont stop plus the chain from the dance. i recorded it on vhs so cant do anything with it un4tunately but im sure it will turn up on youtube soon

i have tickets to the last 6 shows here in november and december but still yet 2 get the leave approved - i will go nuts if i dont

Thank you so much for posting so those of us not in Australia can see this. I loved this interview. I wish it would have went on for hours. She seems much more candid and accepting of her life and I really think her confidence level is where it probably was back during the FM heyday. A place it hasn't been for a long, long time.

You guys are going to have a blast at her shows in Oz. It's bittersweet that tonight is her last scheduled show here in the states.

There are a few things I love about this video:

- Seeing Stevie's pool.
- Hearing her sing "Moonlight" at the piano. Would love to hear the full version of this.
- She even hits the falsetto note at the end! Stevie, do that in concert!
- Hearing her sing a full verse or chorus of "I've Loved and I've Lost But I'm Sad But Not Blue." That's the most we've ever heard of that song, isn't it?

Thank you for posting!

Ok FWIW I totally love that interview! Moonlight on piano is beautiful and of course Rhiannon is amazing! I totally love how she just belted out her first song...unlike the interviews where she refused to sing it. She seemed totally relaxed in this interview. And I totally love her house!! It is absolutely so Stevie! I wonder if she ever uses her pool? I must say she doesn't seem to proud of all the stuff that she ordered with FM back in the 70s...although you could totally tell she was trying not to smile in some parts

Really good little package - although it's just soooooo depressing to be reminded that she's finishing up her US dates, and starting promo for Oz, and Europe can just go forth and multiply yet again, right?
