I'm obsessed with it. It's the perfect mix of Harmonium and Heroes and Thieves-- experimental but still accessible (for the most part.) What are your favorite songs? Dear California goes on repeat so often for me.

This CD took me about 3 listens and I was hooked. I like every single song~Hear the Bells is my fav right now, but that keeps changing. I like Dear Calif. alot...I sometimes listen to this CD over 2 or 3 times a day! lol~it's my first one of hers & I'm so glad I've discovered it.

What are your thoughts on her other CD's?

I think this is my favorite of Vanessa's yet.She is underrated as a songwriter IMHO.

I need to give this a listen. She's opening for Matt Nathanson, so I'll be seeing her a few times this fall.

I did the same thing when I first got the album. I did a ton of walking this summer because my best friend lived about a twenty minute walk away, and I would always put Vanessa on. Listening to Carousel as I walked home drunk from a pretty questionable situation was beyond moving

I enjoy individual tracks off of Be Not Nobody, but I never, ever, turn to the album. Harmonium and Heroes and Thieves are both on my list of automatic go-to's, and I think Harmonium, in particular, is probably the best thing that she's ever done-- I'd call White Houses an unacknowledged anthem of my generation. At least of the women in it. Heroes and Thieves, while I love it, doesn't get the top spot because I think it gets a little generic and bland at times, and there aren't as many tracks that are absolute stand outs for me like there are on Harmonium.

She's opening for Matt? I'm really enjoying his new album. I'm going to have to go to a show. Vanessa in Boston was the best concert I've been to in a long time.

I need to hear more Matt Nathanson stuff. I only really know Suspended and Come On Get Higher - which I love.
