Default When She Comes Down

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...3059559&sr=1-1

A clip of When She Comes Down. Presumably it's being released to radio since there's a radio edit. It sounds nice. It also sounds very adult contemporary and does sound more like something that would have been on OOTC than anything else we've heard so far.

I can imagine it being played on BBC Radio 2 but I can't imagine it setting the world alight. In Our Own Time is a much better single - much more striking.

EDIT: Just seen on Nickslive that it's the first UK single.

Thanks for the link to the clip....Peetsie.

The words (in the clip) reminded me of the old folk song...

"She'll be Comin' Around the Mountain"

"When She Comes Down" was the song Lindsey said was the first song he wrote about Kristen. Right? Or was that a different one?

The clip sounds like I certainly need to hear the rest of the song to get a good feel. Snippets of LB songs are misleading sometimes.

Thanks for the info. I agree with Nico, that I need to hear the whole song because snippets are sometimes misleading, but I did hear his darn metronome in the background again, and I don't like that.

agree, from that tiny snippet that can be heard via amazon it doesn't seem to be nearly as interesting as IOOT. i really don't get why that and not IOOT was chosen as the 1st UK single.

meanwhile, this is what Ana Egge posted on twitter today:
"Rock Away Blind" Lindsey Buckingham - flamenco guitar lifts a U2-esque ballad

I have to say that I like this snippet more than any other material I've heard from Seeds We Sow. I'll always be a fan of heavily layered/echoed vocals, no matter whose they are!

So, what's the video going to be for this? Kristen coming down the stair case in their house and the family going to meet her at the landing? Michele

That's the image I got from it.

Lyrics we know so far:

She is hoping
She is hoping
That we'll all go to meet her
Yes, we'll all go to meet her
When she comes down
When she comes down

If the rest of the song is like this I think it'll seem like he only wrote half a song and then just doubled up the lyrics!

It's like he thought that technique worked so well for the Stones' I Am Waiting that he thought he'd borrow it for himself. Wow.

I think it was inspired when Kristen took 2 hours to prepare for a dinner party. Lindsey, already dressed in jeans, black shirt and leather jacket, sat in the foyer holding his head and wondering when in heaven would she come down.

So does that mean he'll sample the guitar lick from Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight? Sounds like the same story.

It's not my favourite clip from SWS so far but I'm also a sucker for the layered and ethereal vocals.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.
