Way to use a 20yr old photo with a new interview.

Pfft. If she actually bothered to do some actual publicity and appearances for her solo career in the UK then they'd have more recent pictures. Works both ways. Why shouldn't they use a 20 year old picture when the last time she was here was 20 years ago?

* I can't believe I just defended the Daily Mail. It will never happen again.

I have to admit, Stevie's newfound sense of urgency to keep making music (with Fleetwood Mac) makes me very happy. I hope this is something she actually does vs just talk about, though. We all know how Stevie's the Queen Of Empty Promises.

Ha, I think it's great that she brings in Lindsey for the brutality.

That's my guy.

Actually, it makes me think of Christine. I think he brings an edge to a song like Thing About Me, but it would have been great if he'd also done slower songs with her and made given it brutality or "ominousity" as well. Made it brood or mock or remonstrate, as I think Soldier's Angel does.

If they show one of those (new) photoshop pictures where the artist shows an unreal face (like the IYD album cover), I guess it's better to choose an old picture. I guess it's more authentic even if is old.

Stevie was just in London on June 7 accepting the Glamour Women of the Year awards, which is one of the biggest celebrity events of the summer in the UK. Photos from this event, the after party, etc,. are everywhere.

She's done several radio interviews for various programs, etc.
BBC Radio 4: June 24th at 7:15pm Kristy Lang interviews Stevie Nicks on the Frontrow. And she's done quite a few print interviews, including Nylon, The Word, OK, The Guardian...Oxford CD signing coming up

This publication had access Warner Music Group's digital asset site for media but chose to use an old photo, which is bad form on its part. There are six or seven 2011 photos by Kristin Burns (and one 2011 shot by Neal Preston) available to publications.

She'll likely do more press when she's there for Hard Rock Calling and since Secret Love is doing better in the UK than the U.S. and IYD is Album of the Week at the #1 UK radio station.

This is what I've seen so far and I don't live in the U.K., have you seen anything else. I assume you live in the UK?

Point taken, but what I meant was thast all this activity is just happening for this album. Since OSOTM in 1989 there have been 4 major releases (Street Angel, Crystal Visions, Soundstage and Timespace), not to mention several tours and where was she for any of them? Nowhere other than the US or Australia. I just think that it should work both ways.

While I accept that it's bad form for them to use such an old picture, it's not out of the realms of possibility that they assumed there were no more recent pictures (Sadly, the Daily Mail is horribly British-centeric and only likes to use images from UK events) because until now she has been so invisible in this territory.

I'm thrilled that she's finally getting out there and promoting herself here! The facts tyou mention about her album being #1 playlisted show that she does have an audience here! Why didn't she do this before though? She had plenty of opportunities. Here's hoping she'll be properly embraced by UK audiences - hurrah!

Thumbs up Interesting article

Thanks for posting it. Yeah, I'm glad she's ready to get back with Fleetwood Mac. I especially liked this comment:

'When you're part of a musical partnership with someone who has been your lover, that baggage is always there.

'It doesn’t matter whether the other person has got married or had children. What matters are the things you experienced together.'

You really have to wonder what Kristen Buckingham thinks of these comments year in and year out. You just know her girl friends have to alert her to some of this stuff: "You'll never guess what Stevie said THIS TIME!!"

I present as evidence of this very thing - Mystified from Tango In The Night.
