Never Make Me Cry

I love Christine, but sometimes she's just too boring.

Was between Brown Eyes and Honey Hi - Brown Eyes won.

Not keen on any of Christine's songs on Tusk - for me, it would have been every bit as excellent with just Lindsey and Stevie songs.

Honey Hi. I love Brown Eyes and Think About Me, and it struck me the other day how lovely Over and Over is.

The constant honey honey honey stuff just irritates me.

"Never Forget." That line "the stars must be my friends to shine for me" is so corny.


I actually really like "Never Make Me Cry." It's heartbreaking to me.

Part of me just died inside.

My least fav would have to be Never Make Me Cry. The early demos/outtakes of the song were actually better than the finished product. The album version just puts me to sleep.

I don't think any of these songs is bad, but I went with "Brown Eyes" because it's my least favorite melody. However, I almost went with "Never Make Me Cry" because "Brown Eyes" does sound more like a Mac song with all three voices.

I've never understood all the hate for "Honey Hi" on this board. It's one of my favorite Chris tracks - probably top 2 or 3. Great vocal from her & nice harmonies. I just wish it were longer.
I also really like "Never Forget".

I think the melody for "Brown Eyes" is what redeemed the song for me
I agree with you about "Honey Hi" though. It's not that high up on my favorite Chris tracks but I went into it thinking it was gonna be another "Never Make Me Cry" and was happily surprised that it was not!

I loved Christine's songs on Tusk, but I never loved Never Make Me Cry. I don't hate it, but its one of my least favorites.

Normally, I am not bothered by people hating FM songs that I adore, but my mouth shot open when I saw Brown Eyes described as a horrible lol. The first time I heard that song I was blown away by how great it was.

After listening to all of Christine's Tusk songs, I gotta go with "Never Make Me Cry". The only songs from her I like, here, are "Over and Over"and "Think About Me". The rest for me are too slow and kinda bare.
