Default A tiny request re: new Stevie interviews

Would it be possible to *not* merge all posts regarding new interviews/articles into one long mega post?

I understand not wanting to have a multitude of posts on here...but at the same time, each interview is often unique and warrants separate discussion. Additionally, it's painfully annoying to scroll through page after page of one long post to see if there might have been a new article/interview somewhere.

I think that most people will be more likely to learn about a new article or interview by seeing it as its own thread, where it can be discussed.

But that's just my opinion...hopefully shared by others. If the consensus would rather have everything posted to one massive thread, or if the moderators feel that is the preferable way to do it, I will be a good sport and follow suit.

Just wanted to raise the possibility. Thanks!

I, too, would prefer to keep them in seperate threads. Keeps the discussions more focused and it's easier to find new stuff.

Me, too. I don't even want to look at posts that have more than 30 pages. Too much reading. Did enough of that in school 20 (cough) years ago.

I just thought I was doing what was best. I'll talk to Michele about it.

Wink

Actually I'm going to make a judgement call here... as I'm sure Michele trusts my... judgement

I new to the mod gig (cut me some slack, jack!) and so I might've gotten a bit merge happy. I know how annoying it is when you can't find something on the boards, especially when you wanted to contribute to that conversation.

It's fine if you want to keep each interview separate in it's own topic. There have been people who have been posting the same reviews (even when it's had it's own thread). In those cases they will be merged together as one.

Fair?

I think that's absolutely fair :-) Thanks!

And as I said...if more people would rather have one big thread with all of the articles, I can respect that. Just wanted to test the waters on trying the other way :-)

Well i understand Rolling Stone having its own review... but not a local newspaper or something

So if they are well known reviews make a thread, fine. But let's keep everything else that we can inside the reviews thread. Each and every interview doesn't need it's own thread. It just becomes silly really.
