Default IYD Marketing

its been said all over the place that the promotion for this album has been minimal...im not saying true or not...just wat ive read..and that Reprise is not expecting a "new fan base" ....i just listened to the entire album on rolling stone....this record is superior and if promoted right would bring in a HUGE new younger fanbase..i am shocked at how good this record is...i would say tie w/bella donna..and thats still selling...opinions on this appreciated...MOONLIGHT is a def top 10 hit

Moonlight is *amazing*. I think back in the day that it would have been a top 10 Nicks or Mac hit.

Nowadays I don't know if "Moonlight"'s mystical music would make it on the radio, and don't get me wrong, it's a *classic* track.

I think "In Your Dreams" might have a shot though. It's a VERY catchy song.

Default Hard Sell

I think the music business is very fickle and radio is not so friendly to older artists. That said, I think WB realizes this is a very good CD and is hoping that word-of-mouth and outstanding reviews will give it some life. If just one of the songs can "click" with the general public (if not radio, then on a movie soundtrack or maybe TV) then I think sales will be impressive (but not mega-selling.)

I'm alot more impressed with the marketing for this album than I thought I would be. Stevie doing the TV circuit, hitting up Glee, and finally catching up with the benefits of the internet, I would hope that her album gets more notice from Top 40 and the younger generation.

I think there is a strong possiblity she will get a Grammy.
IYD is a great album that deserves some recognition.
