Wow. You aren't the only one about to cry ! That was just awful. She seemed so clouded. I am soooo glad she got off that ****. If she hadn't i seriously don't think she'd be around today. Poor Stevie to have to look back on all that. Terrible just terrible

Oh man, I look back on those years and just shudder. This was part of an interview Stevie did for OSOTM and I remember watching this interview for the first time and just feeling.....sad. It came on a compilation tape with lots of other stuff. There were a few interviews from Wild Heart and the HBO concert was also on the tape. To go from Stevie in that interview to watching her just 4 years earlier.....I mean.....I just sat there asking myself, "What happened ?".

"...the ones you looked up to aren't looking so good anymore..." that really applies to Stevie during those years. So glad she got through it and is here with us today, about to release a new CD.

It really is scary to look at how rapidly she changed in the late-80's. And scary that those years could be so much worse than her time as a serious cocaine addict. That's normally the low point...
Those were basically lost years and I give her a lot of credit for making sure the last 15+ have counted.
