Default (Re) Enchanted!

Hey guys

Well it's just me in the office today so I brought in a stack of cd's and am listening to The Wild Heart right now and it reminded me I've meant to start this thread for ages.

Enchanted gets a bit of a bum rap I think. I love it! I don't know if it's just because Ray Bittan is on keys as well, but this really is Stevie's E Street Band moment! I'd LOVE her to randomly duet on this with The Boss himself, Ray on keys and a killer sax solo from Clarence! Never gonna heppen but I can dream! Maybe some live performance someday... I bet Bruce would do it!

Thoughts??

Hmmm, perhaps an over abundance of exclamation there...

I know - I've just read on here that many people think kind of 'meh' towards it - neither good nor bad - but I think it's great.

I dunno if I can picture Bruce Springsteen singing it, but I've always liked it. I have the Soundstage version that was an Amazon bonus track, and have been listening to it quit a bit lately.

I think when she first started performing it in concert on the Enchanted tour, people were really into it. The problem is that the song overstayed its welcome in the set. But now that it's been out of the set for at least five years or so, I think it's time to bring it back. It's a good, upbeat song to place early in the show when the crowd is just warming up.

Default janey dont you lose heart

Enchanted always brightens my mood. Quite an upbeat song for Stevie really.

Roy bittan is the best too! Cant quite imagine Bruce on there though he did write a song either for her or about her (janey dont you lose heart) - I cant remember which now. Maybe both?

one of my fav Stevie upbeat songs! I think she should start her live shows with it again! (did she ever start the show with this song or was it always at least 2nd in the set?)

i remember wen "The Wild Heart" first was released...here in boston WBCN played on regular rotation..."stand back".."wild heart"..and "enchanted"...i loved them all..enchanted could have been a good single for her..it just has too much of a country sound for a rock star...loved it live during enchanted tour..she loves singing it..u can tell..and it sounds easy for her to sing..so y she doesnt put it in is beyond me..i think its a great country/rock song

I think because it was her brother's fav some ledgies started to hate it because he is such a boob.

If anyone has NOT heard this version of Enchanted Eyes of the World it makes Stevie's enchanted so much cooler
