Default Where Is This 1998 Live "Gold And Braid" From?

Like many of you, 1997~1998 was filled with Stevie~centric LIVE CDs and videos, sometimes too many too keep up with! I uploaded this version of "Gold And Braid" from the 1998 Enchanted Tour, and it is amazing!!! The sound is killer!

However, I don't remember which CD I uploaded it from, and I no longer have most of my Stevie CDs (lost in a 2006 move). Is it Woodstock '98? Because I have other recordings from that show that don't sound nearly this good (in quality of sound).

http://www.mediafire.com/?ehxu9xumx66od48

If it is Woodstock, are there any links to the rest of the songs in this wonderful sound? I remember having an incredibly loud and clear "Rose Garden", but the one I have now from Woodstock is not good at all.

Thanks, if anyone knows!

Sorry, mikebise, I have no idea and can't help you out there.

But I did need to comment on this after hearing the track you uploaded (and thank you!). Listening to this song is FASCINATING. What a trip listening to her singing this song so much later in her career. As much as we all love the original live version on the box set - and is the ultimate version to which any others must measure up - hearing her belt out these lyrics in 1998 is such a different experience - there's wisdom and certainty there. And I do mean "belt out" - this is a bloody hard song to sing, and she did it justice all those years later. I'm surprised that she even attempted to sing it again live - it could have been an epic fail, but it worked. Thanks again!

Mike, I just checked the video of Gold and Braid from Woodstock '98 that's on Youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2Mf9cYEzQI

This recording (which is awesome by the way) is not from Woodstock because at the beginning of the song on the Woodstock performance Stevie sings " Though deep set and somewhat shadowed Her eyes, Her mystery..."

On your recording Stevie decided to mix it up (and possibly make a Lindsey reference)
"...His eyes, His mystery..."

Hope this helps,

Thanks for sharing this awesome performance, I love Gold and Braid!

Eek!!! I'm glad to know it's not Woodstock, but NOW I NEED TO KNOW where it's from!

Why is "Atlanta 1998" floating in my head? Is there a show circulating from there? I have no idea what CD this was on!

Thanks, Matt, for helping deepen/clear up the mystery!

Possibly Bonner Springs, Kansas??? I remember I had a recording from that show and it had great quality. I have 'Sleeping Angel' and 'Stand Back' from Atlanta and I don't think G&B is from this show. Definitely not Woodstock, Jones Beach, Mansfield, or Grand Rapids either. Maybe Orlando or Mountain View, CA?

I did have the Kansas Enchanted concert on 2 CDs... Could it be that? In 1998, I did not have California or Florida, I remember that.

Ha! It figures, the show I went to wasn't recorded. Typical.

It's not from Atlanta 1998 06/27/1998, but it's a great show anyway:

Has anyone else downloaded this "Gold And Braid" in the last few months and had a lightbulb go off?

Yep - I am certain; listened to all the shows I have and this is the only show where during gold and braid she sings "...His eyes, His mystery..."
