I'm sure it's probably some cousin several times removed...and Stevie just said "nephew."

Could really be any younger family member. It's easier to say "my nephew" than "my second cousin once removed." My mother often refers to her first cousin as her niece because they're so far in age, Mum feels like her aunt. Not uncommon, I think, to be flexible with these things.

This happens in my family.. My father has a cousin who calls me her Aunt.. I guess that's just how she sees me.

I don't mind it at all, I love being her 'Aunt.' haha.
